Mauk can't be happy right now.

His dad's taking charge at Glendale though; going to move to a spread offense. Allegedly something like this went down:

Kid: So, are we going to run the ball?
Coach Mauk: Yes.... after someone catches it first.

Good times.

Springfield woefully underachieves on the gridiron for as many fricking people are in this city.

To be brutally honest, you could just stop at "underachieves".

With all the problems lately in como, a small part of this May have been to show everyone that no one is above the law

Exactly.

It sucks, but I feel like it had to be done. Pinkel just made an example of the most talented player he's ever brought in.

Every FCS coach in the nation just fapped furiously

GloryDayz 04-11-2014 07:49 PM

Mixed emotions. This team needed good players and he was that. As for any recruiting problems his dismissal bring on, well shit happens. The school is in a no-win situation. It just sucks all the way around!

Bernie's Take:

"By dismissing Green-Beckham, Pinkel sent a message to every recruit out there: Mizzou is that place. You can enter this program, and you can compete in the biggest games in the best conference in the sport. You can succeed in the classroom and on the field. You can put yourself in position to earn a degree, or play in the NFL, and the coaches will do everything they can to help develop you as a person and a player. But to do that, you'll have to be a responsible citizen and a respectful teammate."

First class organization unlike the countless schools that would have swept it under the rug

This is just dispiriting.

DGB is probably the best in-state recruit any of us will see in our lifetime. Moreover, Missouri is able to sign him against serious offers from every power school. He gets taken out of a horrible situation, appears to get his life straightened out, and then just ****s it all up again and again.

I'm simultaneously disgusted by his stupidity and immaturity, disappointed that someone with so much ability seems to be so willing to piss it away, and yet I also feel sorry for him because, in spite of everything given to him, he just can't un-**** himself.

These types of debacles just make me want to stop watching college sports altogether. You either win with rank scumbags who defile the university's name and academic integrity or you get your ass kicked all over the field.

**** this shit.

That's what I hate, you can't win big without the thugs. Damned if you do, damned if you don't.

O.city 04-11-2014 09:07 PM

You probably can't do it, but after his second run in I'd almost put him on lock down or something.

One thing I love about this board is how well people can put the same feelings I have.

Rep Sir...

O.city 04-11-2014 09:19 PM

That's the thing with these guys that I can't fathom.

Literally everything is going to be given to you from here out. Yeah you'll have to work out and I'm sure that's strenuous an what not, but with what god have you, you're pretty much set.

And they **** it up

'Hamas' Jenkins 04-11-2014 09:30 PM

DGB should be gone, but this is also a downstream consequence of Derrick Washington, Michael Dixon, Price, and other recent ****ups by athletes in the major sports.

These decisions don't occur in a vacuum. Still, helps you realize how much of a hypocritical scumbag one who sucks the penis Tom Osborne was.

How would you rate the info you got from your source? Was it more focused on there being no charges or DGB's future with the team?
