Wonder if they target a QB with the 2nd they get back?

I'd heard Geoff Schwartz reminds him of Welbourne.

Based on what you said about Albert not being flexible, I too think now they'll go with Fisher. He said he was ok with left or right tackle.

I hope not. If we are not going to take a QB at 1.1 why in the hell would we take one in the second round? Lets get a safety, ILB, or TE.

Fisher is nasty and is no where near his ceiling yet. As dumb as it may seem, long arms really do help or hurt that position. Just my preference, Joker may end up being better.

According to nfl.com, fishers arms are 1/2 inch longer than joeckels

you think that 9 million or whatever Albert clears they will target a (or some) FAs?

could they bring in a guy like Tyson Clabo (hes 6'6'' 320 lbs, like Reid likes) or sign some guys like Richard Seymour or Karlos Dansby, Im spit balling examples, just that 9 million can get you one or two or three veterans that are waiting for the market to show itself after the draft obviously.

Getting a high second for Albert would be good. We'd have basically gotten our QB for free and we get younger, healthier, and probably better at tackle.

I think the cap space created by a Albert trade would be used to help us in future years. Anyone we would sign now would get a very minimal and short term deal IMO.

From what I heard form MCShay this morning Geno could still be there the top of the 2nd round.

Don't we only save about 4-5million a year?

Nice fresh perspective instead of the usual nonsense "Dorsey is an idiot for giving up a 2nd for Smith!" , "Dorsey is an idiot for only getting a 2nd for Albert!!"

I'd bet my left nut that doesn't happen.

Yeah, you're completely right. Apparently I don't know what I was talking about. I thought there was some measurable that J was clearly lacking that Fisher wasn't. Also thought J was shorter than he is.

Still prefer Fisher due to nastiness and potential, just my opinion.

I cant quite put my finger on why he doesnt excite alot of teams? Admittedly, hes not a sure fire #1 prospect, but hes good enough to be selected in the 1st round somewhere.

I highly doubt it though he said that if he slips out of the top 10 then all the QB's could easily slide to the 2nd round as no team 11-32 needs a QB.

From what we have seen and heard it is possible he slips past 10 and then who knows.

I would then think a team trades up into the 1st for him before he slides that far. I still highly doubt he gets out of the top 10 though.
