Sks owners
I think there is something wrong with mine. The 30 rnd mag seems loose and the 5 or 10 original magazine won't fit. What's the problem? It doesn't have the original wood stock on it. Afraid I have to take it back. |
Any of you Sks owners have issues with cheap magazines?
Im thinking of buying Tapco magazines for it. Other forums say the Sks is picky when it comes to magazines and the Tapco is the best. |

I wish I could help. |
Shot the Sks today. It does need a better magazine. Prob go with the Tapco. I really need to learn how to be more accurate. It sure was awesome emptying the mag as fast ad I could though.

Here you go: http://www.mississippiautoarms.com/ Call them and tell them exactly what you told us. They will get you connected with what you need. If you purchased a bunch of cheap 7.62x39mm ammo, a lot of times that stuff doesn't eject for shit. |
Bought 500 rounds of Russian ammo for $95 and a Tapco 20 rnd mag for 18 came out to 130 with shipping. The wife is going to be pissed when a 22 lb box shows up on the doorstep.

It was either...buy less rounds/pay more per round or this. Wal mart doesn't carry these and I've heard they are way overpriced for the 7.62 x 39 |
I tried the Tapco magazine today, gun worked much better, no failures. Also bought some Tulammo for the 9mm.
My accuracy for the SKS isn't very good. How do I improve my accuracy with it and a handgun? I changed my trigger finger location but I know I'm reverting back to using the line on my finger when multi firing. I did horrible at 100 yards the first mag with 9/20 on a medium sized target. I changed my trigger pull and went 7/12 the next. |
