I've found that it happens to me pretty often, I don't even have to close the browser to correct it.
I just erase the everything in the url after index.php (which for me usually says "/my_team/manage_roster/134"), and I'm good.

Okay, have the depth chart set up and can probably dip my toes in the trade market.
