BTW Anderson had the look today at the weigh-ins...I think he's going to murder Bisping tomorrow.

I don't see Conor fighting RDA honestly, if you heard him at the PC it sounded like he has moved on from that fight.

To be honest, I don't see him fighting at 145 or even 55 again if all goes smooth next weekend...dude has been killing himself to get to 145 and to a degree 155 as well. Why cut all the weight and do that to yourself when you can fight at 170, cut little weight, and feel great?

I could very well see him calling out Robbie next...not saying he would call out GSP or should, I easily envision that though.

The UFC has been refused so many offers that they don't call GSP very often anymore. I don't think they have worked out some secret GSP deal that they will unveil later.

Re: McGregor, 155 is ideal for his body. 145 is too low, and 170 is probably not a good idea aside from money-making superfights. I don't think he's "moved on" from RDA at all.

Jerm 02-26-2016 01:56 PM

Did you hear him talk at the PC? He doesn't care about RDA anymore lol...

He walks around at 175-185 naturally from all accounts, the thought at fighting @ 170 without having to cut much weight if any at all has to be appealing...

Chief_For_Life58 02-26-2016 02:15 PM

hes a perfect 55er. he needs to drop down and beat rda then superfight gsp. millions

People who fight at WW are bigger and cut from much higher weight, its not a good idea for him to compete long-term as an undersized WW giving up height and reach advantage to everyone (except to Hendricks, who would mitigate that by wrestling him).

I didn't see him "not care" about RDA, he was pissed, and I'm sure he wants that 2nd belt. The UFC wants him at LW anyway because he's unlikely to do as well in WW as he would in LW/FW. They make the matches, they'll set up the RDA fight again with a pile of money and Conor will say "ok, sure".

Do you think he fights RDA if he beats Nate or does he try to fight Robbie?

Interesting options no matter what...

I think the UFC will set up RDA and Conor as the headliner. I think this is the first time RDA had to pull out due to injury, and this one should keep him sidelined for only about a month, he's got plenty of time to train.

The big loser here is Frankie Edgar, who has to either wait until the Fall, or get thrown into some kind of contender fight.

For those who have fightpass, Anderson Silva is fighting Bisping tomorrow afternoon in jolly old England.

BigCatDaddy 02-26-2016 07:36 PM

If he gets past a Nate another WW fight with Nick Diaz would be huge. I think NDs suspension is up in n July.

Its up in the beginning of August. Nick Diaz is barely unavailable for UFC 200 by a couple weeks.

Bisping wins by UD 48-47x3

That fight was fantastic, and the judges scored it perfectly.

ZootedGranny 02-27-2016 05:47 PM

I had it 1, 2, 4 for Bisping, mainly because of Silva's inaction.

Anderson landed the more effective punches, and clearly did more damage, but was content to lay back and counter instead of press and finish, and it cost him.
