Watched "The Namesake" with Kal Penn, pretty damn good movie, in a way reminds me of how i grew up. It's basicall about an indian family that moves to NY after marriage and kal penn grows up american and tries to fight between his culture and american culture he's grown up in. Good movie.

great ****ing movie, funniest and smartest since South Park...Stiller's best

there are moments when the movie is totally unhinged...that is so rare, when the absurdity seems to overtake the movie....the last 40 minutes were awesome, each character simply losing their minds, but in unison....

Downey's performance is god damn brilliant, imo...his expressions are priceless, his face shifts constantly...all those close-up scenes at the camp at the end, when the actors are in the dark and only lit by a faux-camp fire light are great, and Downey just freaking off the hook, he deserves a nomination, honestly

he makes everything look easy, but think how hard that role was to do without simply becoming racist blackface.....

Downey is the best actor living, i think...hope he stays off drugs and starts cranking out movies....

Cant wait to see this. Honestly, i really love Stiller and always have all the way back to the "Ben Stiller Show" days on FOX.

Heck, even Reality Bites had its moments and Cable Guy is an overlooked gem.

Here's one that might have slipped through the cracks, unless you are a die hard Balehead.

"Equilibrium".

Dystopian flick set in the early 21st century where human emotion has been outlawed due to the consequences of it--war, violence, etc. Very 1984-ish. The first half is more of a philosophical character piece, and the second half is a bloodbath. The effects are a little hokey, but I really enjoy this movie.

Worth a watch.

I would assume that unless you are a major stoner, and are really stoned, then this movie wouldn't be funny.

Seeing how I am a stoner, and was completely stoned when I saw it, it was worth the $10.

The wife just saw Mamma Mia today. She loved it.

just saw a trailer on TV for a new Coen brothers film. Of course the name escaped me and I'm too lazy to look it up. I definately want to go see it!

The thing I liked about gun kata...it's a sabermetric way of killing people.

Watched this old 70's flick last night called "Rolling Thunder" on netflix.

Very, very cool. Apparantly its gotten a rep over the years because it was a huge influence on Tarantino.

It stars William Devane and a young Tommy Lee Jones as Vietnam POW's who return home and of course have a dificult time adjusting. Devanes characters family get murdered by some Texas thugs and then he goes nuts and decides to go after them himself and get some revenge.

Check it out. Its not high art, but its got that great gritty 70's quality to it. It was a pleasant surprise for me.
