Rosters are smaller so less people to pay, plus it's the most superstar driven sport.

Lakers are on like Plan F cause everything keeps failing. 500k tampering fine for Paul George and they never even got him. I guess thats why you have Magic in the FO.

To go from George, Kawhi, Lebron hype. To just Lebron and an ACL injured Boogie Cousins who is a career loser/stat compiler? Thats a huge bucket of fail.

Boogie Bron Ingram is better than Injured Embiid Simmons and Fultz.

It's also better than Love and JR Smith

Titty Meat 07-01-2018 03:24 PM

Philly already lost a couple of shooters off the bench too. LA has a nice young core of depth sign Lebron and Boogie and a few followers that team is pretty stacked.

Not sure why you keep saying this. Embiid actually played in more games than Cousins last year and isn't coming off an achilles injury. That can be a pretty serious injury for a basketball player.

Um Embiid has missed over 100 games in just 3 seasons.

Yeah but this year most of that was just trying to give him rest.

I agree Embiid is injury prone but it's not like Cousins is a sure thing. An achilles injury is a big deal to a basketball player. There's a pretty good list of guys who never fully recovered.

Especially guys that size. Seems like Brand all over again.

Bewbies 07-01-2018 05:00 PM

Lebron turned down $34m this year, if he went back would he be making more? I thought year one was below that??

its also still a 2nd round exit to Houston or Golden State as opposed to a garunteed finals in a weak East.

No. LeBron, Boogie and Ingram would beat Houston and challenge GS. You act like Ingram isnt a guy who's gonna average 20 a game.

It's funny that Draftkings live breaks news faster than any other sports news platform

ChiliConCarnage 07-01-2018 06:20 PM

whoa crazy. If they have a verbal that kawhi will go there in free agency next year then I suppose it makes sense. He can lose in LA as easy as Cleveland for the next year

Hboosboy 07-01-2018 06:21 PM

LeBron is a Laker you all can eat a big bag of dicks, ha ha!

O.city 07-01-2018 06:22 PM

They need to trade for kawhi, sign boogie and capella

Hboosboy 07-01-2018 06:23 PM

Spurs just lost a ton of leverage. Or Lebron told them all along that he's coming and they've been engaged in talks with that in mind.

Ingram has done nothing in the NBA so far and Boogie is a career loser coming off an ACL injury and you just think that instantly competes with the two bigger powerhouses in the NBA? hahahahahha

Lakers beat Houston twice last year without LeBron I think this year they might just sweep them.

DanBecky 07-01-2018 06:30 PM

Who is the Kobe nut hugger on CP? Dude shows up during the finals to shit on Lebron and make outlandish claims of Kobe being better (LOL). That dude probably has a Lebron jersey order put in already.

Hboosboy 07-01-2018 06:30 PM

Not everything lasts forever. The Warriors will lose eventually.

FloridaMan88 07-01-2018 06:31 PM

Cleveland essentially lost LeBron last summer when dumbshit Dan Gilbert fired Chris Grant (who was rumored at the time to be in the process of trying to trade for Paul George), and giving in too soon/easily to Kyrie Irving’s trade demand.

I wasn’t one of them, but this has nothing to do with winning IMO

This is a lifestyle/life after basketball move. 100%.

Of course that played a role too, but it’s a perfect match of the two. It’s the same reason Peyton chose Denver. I still think he ends up in LA with or without Magic though.

I’d imagine they end up with kawhi. He wants to be in LA and I doubt lebron goes there without some kind of assurances

tk13 07-01-2018 07:30 PM

It's not like LeBron had a ton of options in today's NBA.

Make no mistake the Lakers will be contenders in the West. Although LeBron likes to get his way, so I'm guessing the roster will look different in September than it does now. Even Windhorst was just saying on ESPN that some of the players celebrating on Twitter probably should hold up because there's no guarantee they'll all be on the roster.

FloridaMan88 07-01-2018 07:37 PM

Stephen A. Smith saying he’s heard that Kawhi may sit out next season rather than play for the Spurs if they don’t trade him... i.e. what he basicallly did most of this past season.

From my understanding if he tried that the Spurs would put him on the no show\retired list and he still wouldn't be a FA.

dirk digler 07-01-2018 07:52 PM

Something I didn't know but Windhorst was saying tonight on ESPN that USA Basketball starts up in a couple of weeks and Pop is coaching the team and Kawhi will be on the team. There is probably some hope there that maybe they can patch things up.

They have no incentive to rush a trade at this point so that makes sense.
