That said Collider does nothing but pimp everything Disney makes. If there was a flaw in the film they sure wouldn't be telling us... |
BTW anyone wanting to get the Cliff's Notes on the Infinity War/Crusade/Thanos stories this is the best place I've found so far. Quick and well narrated videos to catch up...

I want this to be serious. No more overrated villains.
I hope Thanos off’s Loki in the first scene. |

There is going to be a shit ton of violence and killing in this movie. But, that’s family friendly? |
Is it going to be PG13 or R?

Ut's the discourse with the character with every quip, and unbalanced sense of jovial interaction during perilous situation. Like Thor Ragnarok during the dungeon scene with Surtur Or how Ultron was depicted, because Marvel wanted a more malevolent interpretation. |

If they can do that, they can definitely do the same with IW. Ultron was so tame and skewed down. Really hope Thanos is for real and offing Loki in the opening scene would set the tone. |

I think Marvel did a good job explaining this so people expect it... |

To be fair Ultron was working out a plan that would have killed billions |

I said it's the lack of concern the characters have in danger is clearly a Disney change to lighten the mood " hey people are getting killed in NY, let's joke about it" The Villians are part time comedians/comic relief |
I couldn't help myself, and found an overseas blog of someone that watched the movie due to their timezones being ahead in the land of the frogs. I now know the basic plot. Which was pretty much almost spoilers with words around them to make sentances. And I'll leave it at that. But anyone else can post spoilers as they see fit. If they're willing to pay the price. As I am not
|
Saw it in 3D, first one in the area.
Best Superhero movie ever. Period. No Superhero film is anywhere close to this movie. It had humor, state of the art tech, great storylines that didn’t get cluttered with so many characters. Well done. No one left, the whole audience stayed to watch the post credits thing. Then all the audience started talking about what the post credits meant going forward. |
Just watched it. All I can say is holy shit
|
Just got back from seeing it with the wife. Great movie, fun time, good story line, awesome visuals.
Incredible end credit scene too. I do have some nit picks but will refrain from posting until more have a chance to see the movie. |
See I like these no spoiler posts. Hyped for Sunday...
|
nice work so far boys. will probably not see until monday/late sunday. will stay far far far away.
|
Man. Just man. The whole theater was silent processing the movie when the credits started to roll. I’ve never had that happen, normally there’s some chatter.
Early score would be a perfect 5/7. |

I was very impressed with it, had some very strong moments of emotion and the light-hearted laughter sprinkled in. Thanos was a strong villain, his dialogue tonally was very different from most villains. I actually believe his regrets and decisions carrying weight on him instead of the normal comic book villain tropes. Some characters get left behind a bit, some deserved a bigger spotlight, but when it's all said and done I want to experience it again. Seeing the combinations of characters that hadn't met yet was awesome, as well as the times they were reunited. I kinda wonder how they're going to fill out the next one a year from now, what's going to be the bulk of the movie and which directions are characters going to go.

All Im gonna say is.....
HOLY ****ING SHIT |
I just got out of the theatre like 20 minutes ago.
I need to see it again. |
Man...just wow. Im seeing it again a couple more times, prob tomorrow and Sunday.
This was the 2nd best (IMO) superhero film of all time, only to The Dark Knight, and I'm biased because Batman will always be my favorite superhero and Ledger's Joker was a once in a generation performance. But I can def see why a lot of people will claim this being the best. It def deserves to be talked about in that context. They really did this movie right. Which ironically, since it's Disney who managed to **** Star Wars right in the ass.
Spoiler!
The silver screen needed a movie like this desperately. Been a long time since Hollywood had a really good movie out. Dialogue was good, funny, sad, thrilling. I dont show much emotion but I was pretty moved and entertained. Man...10yrs all led up to this. And Holy Shit was it worth it and it def lived up to it's hype and more IMO, that's why I'm seeing it again prob a couple more times. It's been a (long) while since I've came out of a movie theatre blown away. |

Thoroughly enjoyed the movie. Seeing it again on Saturday. Best line from Infinity War didn't even come from the movie..... "You better take that crying baby outta here".
Seriously....who brings an infant to the first showing of a movie like this? Get a sitter. |

My only thought walking out last night.....
What. The. ****. Man what a ride....Thanos is the best villain in any movie since Darth Vader. Loved it, can't wait to see what's next. |

Stoked to see this, but have to wait until Sunday. No choice as my oldest son is away until late Saturday and it would be a crime if we didn't all go as a family to see it, as we have nearly all of the MCU movies.
OUt of here until then. Thanks for "spoilering" the spoiler stuff. Managed to resist....MUST.....NOT......CLICK....... |
Is it a must see in IMAX 3D?

Cool. GOG2 was pretty awesome in 3D but I'm not big on wearing cardboard glasses all the way through a movie.

Opens with a $39 million Thursday. Projected as a $225-$233 million opening.
http://deadline.com/2018/04/avengers...ds-1202378032/ ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ Roaring To $225M-$233M Weekend Debut – Midday Update Update, Noon: Disney/Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity War is headed to a $225M-$233M opening with at least $95M-$102M today according to industry estimates. That latter figure includes last night’s $39M. The spread is wide because it’s hard for some analysts to comp since this is the biggest film to ever happen to the end of April. In addition, there are a ton of pre-sales which are pushing estimates higher (that was the case last night). Know that if Infinity War comes in even under $225M like at $220M, this film is a massive success and one of six films to ever open north of $200M. We’ll start calling out records much later. The only one we will call out is that with Infinity War cracking at least $95M today, that will enable Disney to be the fastest studio ever to $1 billion in a given year at 117 days. |

Just got out. It was everything I wanted it to be.
Best super hero movie since The Dark Knight |
This movie will be the very first time I have ever watched a movie twice in theaters. It will break a lot of records when it is said and done.
|
Way better than Winter Soldier, and that was a great movie. This belongs in the discussion with The Dark Knight, and Logan for the best of all time. And there's still a part two coming

For everyone that's seen it...what did you guys think of...

Movies like this make me hate Topeka even more than I already do.
|
the Russo bros knocked it out of the park with this one. They did a great job juggling all the characters and making sure they all got enough screen time . Will probably see it again next week or whenever I can .
|
Seeing it again tomorrow with my kids. Not sure I've ever seen a movie twice in opening weekend.
|

I've actually done this before but its VERY rare lol. Did it for The Dark Knight because I was so amazed by Ledger's Joker performance so I saw it twice back to back days opening weekend. Then (and don't laugh too hard please) I did it for Avatar . Saw that shit in IMAX 3D twice the same weekend lol. |

They gave these out as the premiere. It's a pretty heavy coin.

Initial response: that was amazing. Feels like The Empire Strikes Back. Half the theater is in tears right now.
