The Preds need to fire their coach and GM, then trade to get BigErn back.
|
It ends tonight!
(damn, Crawford, really?) |

4-1... just amazing something like this hasn't happened before tonight. It's not like Crawford and Emery are great goalies.
|
Wow, that should just about do it.
|
5-1
|
6-2. Suck it Hawks.
|
Two losses in a row for the Hawks, alot of shitty goaltending.
|
Anyone see this tonight?

There's a reason the goalie preemptively slammed his skate against that far post; he knew full well where that puck was going. It's a fun 'skills' move, but it was a wasted penalty shot, IMO. |
The Preds are getting heated with the Stars and Wild, this realignment thing could work out. Still don't like the playoff format.

Horrilbe shithead stupid ass.

Well done Marty!
|
Funny thing is the Devils scored on themselves at Carolina last year. Also mini trade D'Agostini to Devils for a 5th. Devil fans also travel well for a team that gets crapped on for its attendance over the years(sold out 14 or 16 this year, cough cough).

@wflatampa: BREAKING: Lightning release head coach Guy Boucher effective immediately. Story developing.”
|
Blues had the flames tied up on the road, but Calgary banged one over Halak's pad for the go-ahead and there's only 1:24 left.
**** Iginla. |
PENGUINS!!! 12 in a row baby!!
|
Halak'd
Ugh... |

But the fact that he saved 16 shots and still gave up 3.. |

Doesn't feel like the season should be winding down, but only ~16 games left. Sad to see the Avalanche at the bottom of the conference... thought they had some potential, and they might be playing worse now that they're relatively healthy.

Setting aside every contribution Chris Stewart has ever made to the Blues, I'd take Shattenkirk straight up for Johnson every single day. Johnson's just a losing player and it's no coincidence that teams that try to lean on him tend to suck. 7-12-1 in the 20 games he's played for 15 points. 4-4-3 in the 11 game he hasn't for 11 points. If the Avs played at their 'non-Johnson' pace all season, they'd be sitting 3 points out of the playoffs. They'd be mediocre, sure - but not awful. I'd honestly cut him outright just to keep from having to pay him. His salary is way out of whack with his production and the salary cap is going to go down in the NHL next season, IIRC. |

Sad day for Flames fans (me :deevee:) as it appears that Iginla is on his way to Boston.
http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nhl/631/jarome-iginla http://www.rotoworld.com/images/headshots/NHL/631.jpg The rumors are true: TSN's Aaron Ward reports that Jarome Iginla has been traded to the Boston Bruins. The specifics of the trade haven't been announced yet, but a long night of rumblings ended up paying off. It'll be interesting to see how Iginla fits into the mix as he'll be on a better team but might not get the same kind of opportunities in Boston. |
Bring it boston. You'll need all the firepower you can get to go against my Penguins.
|
Renaud Lavoie @RenLavoieRDS 14m
Don't kill the messenger here. Bruins are telling me no deal in place for Jarome Iginla and no deal will be done tonight. |
Sid reunited with Iggy.
Shero destroyed Feaster. A 1st and two low level prospects. This was a much better deal for PIT than the Morrow trade. |
Hahahah!!! Man it's great! Went to bed thinking Iggys a bruin when he's really a penguin!!

I've been keeping up with the Wild lately... On quite the streak and leading Vancouver in wins and tied in points. Have won 7 straight and 9 out of the last 10 games. So far it is looking like the big $$$ spent is working.
Of course Pittsburgh is out of this world right now with a 13 game winning streak! |
That was a shock, everyone had him going to Boston and Pitt pulls the deal off.
|
Iginla should've been traded two years ago. Instead we get low ceiling bullshit. So jay Feaster, you loathsome c*nt. Die in a fire of aids trees while being raped by geno's chocolate schlong. Go suck a cow, you fat reerun. And get the **** out.

Here we go penguins here we go!! Man I can't wait to play NHL
|
I've officially become a bit of a bandwagon fan of the Avs lately. It was one thing to watch the hopelessness of the Chiefs this year. I can't take another 20 games of that.
:sulk: |
14 and with no signs of slowing down.
Defense is doing the job, which is something that couldn't be said early in the streak. The only upgrade left is in the TV announcing booth. Yeesh.... |
Funny thing is Pascal Dupuis is lighting it up... trying to make a case not to get demoted down the rotation. Dupuis/Crosby/Kunitz has fantastic chemistry as a line... brutal decision if they move someone down to put Iginla in there.
|
14 in a row!! This Dupuis Crosby Kunitz line is killer. No they'll keep that line its producing. They'll likely add Iginla to Malkin and Neal

Cant wait to see Iggy in the lineup. Hopefully Saturday I'll get to see him.

And just to think that dupuis was just a throw in with the hossa trade from the jets when they were the thrashers
|
I hope iginla is on some line that gives the Penguins 3 awesome lines.
|
The Preds game was nuts last night, the past three games looked like they may get back in the playoff hunt. But after last nights disaster they look like they have no business in the playoffs.
|
The pens game was close for all of 15 minutes then they hit switch and scored twice to end the 1st then 2 in the second. They're playing on absolute fire. They'll lose eventually but even if malkin and Crosby are having issues scoring, you got Neal, dupuis, Kunitz, and now Iginla goddamn!! Haha good luck with that it'll be Blackhawks vs Penguins for the cup
|
15 straight win! Only team to ever go an entire month undefeated. Pens now hold 2 longest win streaks in history. Without Crosby, Kunitz, Fleury, Letang and Martin.
|
Yeah, the Blues should just start building for 2014 now.
Nobody's going to get through the West and still take out Pittsburgh. |
If PIT can get fully healthy they shouldnt lose. EVER lol with all this adversity of injuries and shit they still are winning. This is a special...special season

Nice trade for the blues

Pierre LeBrun @Real_ESPNLeBrun 3m
Flames also say if Blues miss the playoffs, that 1st round pick in 2013 becomes 4th-rounder this year and a 1st rd in 2014 |
Shit is gonna **** up the Blues cap.
|
Hope the Preds can find a way to get rid of Sergei Kostitsyn.
|
Quote:
The problem is that the Blues are just a relatively cash-poor team. It's not cap space that will hurt them, it's an internal budget. Everyone seems to like this Bouwmeester trade more than I do. He just doesn't strike me as being a top pairing defenseman anymore and in a deep draft, I think that's what you need to justify giving up a 1st round pick and taking on a ton of salary. It tells me that they're probably resigned to losing Shatty in the off-season. |

Crosby's Jaw is broke. Penguins still have lots of stars.
|
Quote:
I'm not sure if that changes the calculus substantially, but I'd be shocked if either of the guys we gave up amount to anything at the NHL level. But getting a 1st in a very deep 2013 draft is a pretty nice haul in its own right. I'm thinking the Blues desperately need the cash infusion that comes from playoff hockey and are willing to give up the pick to make it happen. |
80 minutes left until the trade deadline, only 4 deals. Though most of the major stuff was done earlier.

Wow the Minnesota Wild are going to be damn good for a bit as much as I hate to say it.
