396?

i started at 398 a few years ago...

we've lost it before, we can lose it again, eh?

HonestChieffan 02-03-2013 07:56 PM

Have not weighed in two weeks. Lifting has totally messed up weight vs fat loss correlation in my head. But...Have gone from tight 38 waist jeans to 36 comfy since Dec 6.

31PriestWay 02-09-2013 06:14 AM

Started at 210 now down to 208. Insanity kicks your behind!

ArrowheadHawk 02-09-2013 10:58 AM

Down 16 pounds for the year.

In58men 02-09-2013 12:16 PM

258

Nightfyre 02-09-2013 02:04 PM

I haven't lost much weight but I have noticed that I am leaning out a bit. Bleh.

cdcox 02-09-2013 05:37 PM

Only one pound off this week down to 181.

I gained back 2 lbs between Saturday and Sunday last week (I was probably a little dehydrated when I clocked in at 182 last Saturday). Added 2 more pounds on my cheat day. I dropped own to 183 within a couple days and held steady there until this morning's weigh in. A lot of up and down along the way, but I'm still down 8 lbs overall.

cdcox 02-16-2013 09:50 AM

179, down 10 pounds.

Buck 02-16-2013 10:09 AM

Just weighed in at 191.8...down 8 lbs for the year so far, not bad.

I started at 294.6 on Jan 1, 2012, and the last time I weighed I was 198 or something, so this is the first time I've noticed that I'm 100 lbs down from the beginning of last year.

Broken ankle is healing pretty well, hopefully I can get back to sports/heavy lifting soon.

journeyscarab 02-18-2013 09:58 PM

251.3 - Down 7 lbs. Using the smoking method of slow and low. LOL! Nah illness and job demands have cut into my exercise time. Feeling better now and ready to get back into the gym groove.

Buck 02-23-2013 10:58 AM

190 even today.

1 more lb until I'm considered healthy by the BMI standard.

BMI is the dumbest shit in the book if you workout. I have had to write letters to my insurance company when they decide to classify (overweight) me by this standard and tell them how ****ing stupid it is for people who lift weights.

Yeah, BMI is a joke, I know. Even the military uses it to determine if you're overweight...stupid. If you come in "overweight", they measure your waist and your neck and figure out the ratio between them to see if you're fat or not lol.

That being said, this happened today.

Wow. I am 5'11". If I got down to 140 I would look like a ****ing corpse.

I am trying to get down to the 190/200 range.

Buck 03-01-2013 09:06 AM

Don't kid yourself. I thought 230 would be good for my height and when I got there I was still fat. Then I did the same with 200. I have a solid 10 lbs or so left at this point.

Predarat 03-01-2013 09:13 AM

Up to 247, not good at all.

Nzoner 03-01-2013 09:15 AM

Down to 206 from 225 as of this morning.

Saulbadguy 03-01-2013 09:24 AM

FUUUUUUUUUUU

179.

Only down 2 pounds for the month of February. Didn't really change anything. However, didn't exercise. I think i'm getting to the point where I won't be able to lose much more weight without exercising.

Yep. I thought 175 would be fine when I was 250 lbs. Now i'm 179 and realize i've got a long way to go.

I've been back on since January(except for weekends) and even though I've snuck some chocolates here and there and have in no way given up my Blvd. Wheat beer have still dropped 20 lbs.

In other words as a veteran of low carb just be sensible, take a day or two a week and have a few things you're really wanting,if like me you'll be fine.

What do you mean by 'replace the gut with muscle'? Losing fat and building new muscle at the same time is almost impossible unless you are either a beginner to lifting, or have assistance from drugs. It's a pretty simple formula, calories in vs calories out. Calories in < calories out, you lose weight, and vice versa. The one constant in your diet needs to be protein. The other macros you adjust depending on how active you are. Sedentary desk job, not much lifting, then lower the carbs and up the dietary fat. If you work out and lift a lot, lower the fat and increase carbs as your body cannot build new muscle in the absence of insulin. Its the body's most anabolic hormone next to testosterone and to avoid it while lifting is reeruned.

I don't know if that is some sort of super-coconut oil or something, but that is kind of expensive for regular coconut oil.

Made it 5 miles on the treadmill yesterday for the first time since I've started running again. Not a very clean 5 mile run, but better than nothing. I'll do 5 miles 3 times a week for the next 2 weeks, then maybe bump her up to 5.5 for a week or two before reaching my goal of 6 miles a time, 3 times a week.

So you're saying cardio one day, weights the next won't make my gut smaller while building my arms and chest? I've already done this routine in the past and that's exactly what happened. I think you're over thinking this.

The longer you can fast the better.

Tends to lose effectiveness after 36 hours though.

I give myself a 6 hour eating window. I can eat between 2pm and 8pm.

Put on forty since Jan 1. Depression sucks guys and gals. Divorce, prison, go figure.

Buck 03-19-2013 04:33 PM

I used to do a version of Fasting where I would stop eating around 6 pm on Thursday night and then not eat til breakfast on Saturday morning, so I think it was just over 36 hours.

Once a week, fabulous results. I was a tub of lard though, so I don't know if the results are typical.

On another note, I already lost all the weight I gained this weekend. I must have been out of keto and retaining water because it's already all gone. 6L of water a day will flush you out.
