Not sure as I don't know anyone that uses a Droid Pro that would hack it but if you go here http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=834 you should be able to find out

Watch Out Amazon: GetJar Launches A Full Catalog Of Premium Android Apps For Free

Today, third-party mobile application store GetJar is publicly launching its GetJar Gold service, which has been in beta testing for the past month. The new service presents a viable challenge to Amazon’s Appstore and its time-limited “free app of the day” by offering an entire catalog of premium Android applications for free. The apps are high quality, ad-free and are available for download at any time.

At launch, GetJar Gold will feature 50 titles, including Fruit Ninja THD, Age of Zombies, TuneIn Radio Pro, Solo, and Splashtop Remote Desktop. Their combined value is around $60.00. GetJar CEO Ilja Laurs says that new apps will be added daily. In fact, the company has nearly closed a deal with another big “recognizable” name in the mobile app industry, but cannot disclose details at this time. (Please be Angry Birds!)

Only premium (paid) applications without in-app ads are considered for the new store, which operates under a different model than the retail app stores from Apple, Google and Amazon. Elsewhere, developers share a percentage of their premium app’s sales with app store provider, usually in a 70/30 (developer/app store) split.

With GetJar, however, the company pays the developers for the applications on a per install basis, which ensures developers get paid. GetJar, in turn, generates revenue by offering sponsored listings within GetJar Gold to other application developers.

Using a model similar to Google AdSense, developers bid on how much they are willing to pay per install. The bids can be as low as 1 cent or as high as $1.50 to $2.00 per user. The higher the bid, the higher the ranking in the GetJar Gold search results. Also like Google, sponsored apps are clearly labeled and highlighted using a different color (blue).

Says Laurs, this model works because mobile users tend to download more than one application per session. Consumers also happy to try out the sponsored apps when relevant to their interests. But most importantly, this model works because when apps are free, users are more likely to download them – 10 to 20 time more likely, GetJar finds.

GetJar Gold is now available on the GetJar.com website, mobile site and in its standalone Android application here.
Interesting to see a different model. I'll check a few out just for fun.

Any other opinions on this game? It pretty much gets ripped apart in the review section of the market, same with Need for Speed Shift which I would really love to have if it plays well. I don't want to drop $7 on Madden to have it suck ass.

Its fun to play as the Chiefs when I'm feeling the need

Gameplay is ok but could use some improvement or I just need to play more.

If you have a powerful android device 7 is pretty good considering all the nfl licensing required.

They have been good at updating the app so far as well

Of course he said that. He works for the man.

I switched to Sprint 2 weeks ago. I got a free EVO.

I'm running CM7. I have free hotspot. I have full HDMI mirroring. That means I can take my phone anywhere with wifi or 4G and a HDTV and watch Netflix.
Running CM7 basically means the ****ing phone works like you want it to. Fully customizable. No lagging. Removes the Sprint/HTC bloatware. Better battery life, etc.

I use the power widget and turn off 3g and 4g when I'm not using it. That's what burns up your battery the most. I usually use wifi anyway. It doesn't drain the battery near as much.

Rooting has nothing to do with your plan.

Rooting is a process that allows users of mobile phones and other devices running the Android operating system to attain privileged control (known as "root access") within Android's Linux subsystem with the goal of overcoming limitations that carriers and manufacturers put on some devices. It is analogous to jailbreaking on devices running the Apple iOS operating system.

The date of the info isn't relevant - I am getting 17 hours on my photon using 3g/wifi/4g as I see fit.

I was getting about 12 on my EVO but I digress...

The info is always and will continue to be valid because Android uses the Linux Kernel

So far Tunein radio has been the best app and it's not even close.

KevB 09-13-2011 03:44 PM

I get anywhere from a day to two days depending on usage on my EVO. I use the Tasker app to turn on WiFi when it recognizes the IP address of my home and work networks. I have it set to turn GPS on when the apps that need it are accessed. And I don't use a Task Killer but I do use Set CPU.

If you're not using Tasker, you're missing out. Big time. I never toggle anything, because I've already set up the Tasker rules to direct my phone to toggle based on my typical behavior. It's great.

Tunein is a nice app. I prefer Internet radio. I actually pay the $3.99/mo because I hate commercials. I use it all nite at work, so I'm getting my money's worth.

Internet connection determines picture quality. If there is no HD version, then it plays the SD version, assuming there is one.

Good question. When I use it like that, it's using wifi. The quality isn't quite as good as it is when I stream thru my Roku.

While there is some video loss, it's handy to have when visiting friends who don't have Netflix.

that's exactly what i was thinking. i had situation the other night when that would have been perfect. i also would like to play a youtube playlist or some other audio, and have it output over hdmi to the tv with a visualization like winamp or whatever. that'd be nice too

The mobile app is not capable of HD. With my video quality set to "best" on my Netflix account and 20+ Mb speeds via WiFi neither my phone or tablet have ever gotten HD quality video.

Let's hope they manage compatibility checks through the market rather than the app so we can sideload (like I'm forced to do on my Xoom).

If you don't have HDMI out on your phone, you can't. Plus, you need an app to mirror it and none of that will work unless you're rooted.

I just dumped my PalmPre after 2 1/2 years. One of the things I really liked about it was that the developers programmed it to spoof an Apple device when hooking it to my PC through the USB cord. I would open Itunes and it would show up as a device and I could easiliy sink my playlists to it.

All of my music is in Itunes.

I just bought the Samsung Galaxy Touch. What is the best way to my my Itunes music onto my phone?

I looked it up and it doesn't which sucks I don't have cable but found an app that plays some of the college football games from ESPN. That would have been huge.

On another note: Whats the weather widget the HTC HD2 & Evo use? I love it and would love to get it on my Nexus S.
