Wow...I guess he did but on purpose. Thats hilarious.

L.A. Chieffan 09-24-2011 02:18 PM

Better acting performance:

Robert De Niro in Raging Bull or Mac in Sunny?

Hootie 09-24-2011 04:01 PM

the climax of Thursday's episode was incredible...one of the greatest scenes Always Sunny has ever had.

okcchief 09-25-2011 12:58 AM

Definitely, one of my all time favorite episodes. ****ing crazy!

The Bad Guy 09-25-2011 08:30 PM

"Shuddup Baby Dick"

Bambi 09-26-2011 02:44 PM

omg last week was ****ing hilarious

Pasta Little Brioni 09-30-2011 11:57 AM

Frank and the mortician ROFL

Pitt Gorilla 09-30-2011 12:02 PM

Frank's makeup was brilliant. Great episode.

Kyle DeLexus 09-30-2011 03:36 PM

This season has been extremely good

Pasta Little Brioni 10-30-2011 09:03 AM

Anybody up for a game of CharDee MacDennis?

Kyle DeLexus 10-30-2011 05:12 PM

This season has been amazing.

outside of that one dumb episode with Frank and his brother, I'll agree...

but the show has taken a backseat to The League for me...

The first 3 seasons of Always Sunny will always have a special place in my heart, though

Buck 10-31-2011 01:19 AM

Always Sunny has definitely stepped it up this year, but I agree. I look forward to The League more than I do Always Sunny now.

Pasta Little Brioni 10-31-2011 05:57 AM

Fail. It's not even in Sunny's "League"

Demonpenz 10-31-2011 06:54 AM

I catch Sunny in here, but it is too mean for me these days. I love The League because it reminds me of my friends who play fantasy football

It has drastically changed...the evolution of Frank's character is slightly ridiculous.

If you go back and watch season 1 or season 2 (even season 3)...Charlie was kind of a normal person (just a poor idiot) and Frank was something else...

and then all of the sudden the middle of season 4 happened and the entire show just evolved...

It's still funny as hell but it's nowhere near as funny as it was the first 3 seasons where they were all kind of "normal" people with sociopathic tendencies rather than what they are now...

Sofa King 10-31-2011 08:46 AM

I just started watching this series. Damn it's funny.

LMAO

I'm with Charlie, though; I dig the waitress and I'm not exactly sure why.

L.A. Chieffan 12-09-2011 06:52 PM

Good episode. Who knew Macs real name?? Hahahahaha

The Bad Guy 12-10-2011 09:11 PM

Dirt Grub

TrickyNicky 12-10-2011 09:45 PM

So happy to see that this will have 2 parts. This first episode was so good the time flew by.

KcMizzou 12-13-2011 08:50 PM

From the previous episode...

Mac : Did you see me? I was totally hangin' dong.

Charlie: I didn't look at that.

Dee: I did... looked like a button on a fur coat.

LMAO

Pasta Little Brioni 10-11-2012 04:58 PM

BUMP!!!

Pasta Little Brioni 10-12-2012 07:39 AM

Anybody watch this last night?

DMAC 10-12-2012 07:57 AM

That was a good one

The Bad Guy 10-12-2012 11:29 AM

See, I didn't really like last night's episode.

Ultra Peanut 10-13-2012 04:51 PM

Oh hey, I had no idea the season had started. I think it's because my roommate's DVR got ****ed up six months ago, oops.

I was really worried about the show falling apart with age, then they turned in one of their best seasons ever last year. The Seinfeld similarities abound~

Pasta Little Brioni 10-28-2012 07:51 AM

Doing "Wildcard bitches!!" again was kind of lame. McPoyle's on bath salts was kind of funny though.

Pasta Little Brioni 11-03-2012 03:07 PM

ROFL at Frank trying to decipher Charlie's notes on the waitress.

shitgoose 09-04-2013 12:32 PM

I guess I am Dennis Renolds. A while back I went to a comedy club in vegas with friends. There was a comedian that did impressions. That was it, his whole act, just funny voices. No punchlines, no set ups, nothing. I just sat back while everyone was laughing asking "this is what passes for comedy?" I am not sure how i fell about this.

Seriously, some of the LEAST funny people in the world are "comedians." I think sometimes those clubs just need a warm body up there.

rico 11-08-2014 02:36 AM

"The Gang Squashes Their Beefs" was freaking hilarious. I lost it multiple times during that episode (along with the other episodes added to Netflix). Especially when they have the McPoyle bros and Hwayng over and are playing that "What You Gonna Do When You Get Outta Jail" song...watching Mac, Dennis and Dee dancing to that song and bickering about which one of them had to break the ice just killed me. Also laughed a lot when that Ponderosa dude, at the table was expected to admit to being responsible for Liam McPoyle losing his eye, but instead said something along the lines of, "yeah, I have to confess something. One time I broke into Dee's apartment and sniffed her panties." ROFL ROFL ROFL That character is hilarious.

rico 11-10-2014 05:17 PM

So is anyone else still watching this? I have since Season 3, episode 1 aired back in the day and it is still holding up and funny, IMO.

I'd actually let this new season slip my notice, thanks for the heads up.

I'm guessing they moved it to that FXXXXXX or whatever channel?

Rausch 11-10-2014 06:10 PM

I ****'n love this show.

It's brilliant how they find new ways to explore their stupidity every week...

rico 11-10-2014 07:38 PM

It may actually have some staying power for consistently having heavy underlying themes of current events and/or social stuff that is going on at the time the episode is produced and aired. Kind of similar to how South Park has staying power (yet, another thing South Park has going for it that Sunny doesn't is that the characters don't age).

What did you find frustrating?

I might need a bit of time to let it breathe, but it had all the marks of an instant classic, up there with Sweet Dee dates a reerun and Night Man.

I'm still laughing at the visual of Frank roller painting shoes on his feet.

Oh, it was easily one of the best. The frustration centered on empathizing with Charlie's plight. I mean, dammit, people. Just, dammit.

Hands down the funniest show on TV.

Dayze 03-28-2018 09:24 AM

mother of god, I love this show.

I knew of it / had heard of it for years. Just never got around to watching it. Next thing you know, it's 10_ years later and about a month ago I decided to record a couple episodes. I've now recorded the series, and at any given time usually have about 20 in my DVR, and I"ll watch one or two every day or so.

SUCH a good show. there isn't a single character on that show that I'm like "meh". Every single one of them is great. even the secondary characters like Bill Ponderosa, Liam McPoyle, the nemesis Lawyer, Artimis, Charlie & Mac's moms are perfectly cast.

though, I record the re-runs on Viceland, I think I'm missing out on a lot of episodes. Given the amount of years it was on TV, and the number of episodes per season, I'm wondering if Viceland just shows the most popular ones? I've seen quite a bit of them, but I doubt I've seen the probably100+ episodes.

Easy 6 03-28-2018 09:27 AM

Yeah, was behind the times on this, but have been watching a lotta reruns on Viceland... and this show is AWESOME, its consistently freaking hilarious

My recent favorite is the high school reunion... The Plan B Dance Off!

oh jesus, that was a great one.

the constant build up of this "plan B" in both episodes; then finally, they do Plan B. Executed flawlessly in their minds...........then cuts to how plan B actually looks to everyone else watching.

there are so many great, subtle one liners in this show. Catilin Olsen might be one the funniest woman on a TV sitcom in recent memory...I can't think of anyone else that would come close except for maybe Julia Louis Dryfuss as Elaine, but I wouldn't categorize that character as outright funny. Still great / perfect fit for Seineld, but not laugh out loud funny for me anyways.

her delivery of Dee's lines, and physical comedy are legit.

Not sure what kept me from watching it while it was on, but I totally missed the boat

Yep, gotta love how the dance off abruptly cuts to what it actually looks like... Mac thinks he is looking like Michael Jackson with his shirt blowing in the wind, but instead he's just standing there with his gut sticking out going 'AAAAAAAGGGGGG! LMAO

L.A. Chieffan 03-28-2018 10:13 AM

Where the **** you guys been? Netflix had every episode but I just checked and the show isn't there anymore that sucks.

lcarus 03-28-2018 10:22 AM

Yeah this show is definitely one of my favorites. I didn't care for it when season 1 originally aired. Then Frank came along and became more and more of a depraved drunken lunatic with each passing season. And it's only gotten better.

probably my favorite tv comedy of all time.
just so bizarre, and they're all such shady scumbags. LMAO

Honestly, it was this thread and UP's recommendation that got me to watch as the first season aired. It's always been great.

anyone hear of the Pepe Silvia theory? (i'm sure all the long-time watchers in this thread already have)
that Charlie was mis-reading the mail while working in the mail room because he's illiterate, and was confusing the "Pennsylvania" or "Philadelphia, Pennsylvania" on the addresses on the envelopes as Pepe Silvia; and "Carol in HR" was written as "Care of HR" on the envelopes.
