Clearly this is the case. I was personally never a huge fan and liked Tranquill much better, but thought I was the minority. The Gay enthusiasts were quite loud in their support.

Willie is a useful piece against athletic QBs, but he never really expanded enough outside of that niche for the team to want to retain him.

Theres not a ton of LB getting more than 5 milly per season.(25 guys in the NFL?)..but if he gets his 5 this season and then inks something like tranquil did next year, then he will have done pretty well..

im not broken up about it as much as just really fascinated by the numbers game and how the GM has to agonize over all this stuff..
