MVS showing Patrick where he should have thrown the ball after he dropped it. ROOKIE Rice getting pissy in the Super Bowl because Mahomes couldn't see him because of a bad snap. Now you want a prima donna with the stats. Hell no

We need to find a WR as talented but on a rookie pay scale

Thanks, much appreciated ! |
Like others the only scenario is make the trade then flip him for a higher draft pick than Sneed will bring. We just cant pay him enough to keep him happy.

Obviously would never happen, however;
yes 100% would do this. Travis is 34, will turn 35 this coming season. And he's still the only consistent man-beater on the team. And we might be watching his retirement speech next offseason. Or in 24 months. Either way, we need to replace his production, in particular his ability to beat man coverage and draw double-teams, because right now we have exactly zero receivers that have that capability on any kind of consistent basis, much less week in/week out. So, yeah, you make this trade and secure a player that can reproduce some/most of that production, and draw consistent double-teams, no brainer. Especially when Veach/Spags have been so good at bringing in and developing DBs from the get-go. No, they probably can't fully replace Sneed's contributions, but I'd bet a house payment they could find ways to replace a lot of it. $30 million/yr is a ton of cash though. You'd hope Veach could sign him to a slightly more team-friendly contract in the mid-$20s. |

What about something that maybe could have traction?
Taylor Decker for Sneed? Decker turns 30 in August and is headed into a contract year. Would be a solid stop-gap for a few years at LT. The Lions could move Sewell to LT. Just a thought, not saying its right. |
