Same here. Big corporations suck.

And that's the problem with that design, but I get it.

I'm sure there aren't many people who regret missing work when they're on their death bed... that said, I don't remember the last time I completely missed work due to being sick. There have been a few days here and there where I've worked from home though.

When I was younger, I wouldn't even take all of my PTO, but that's changed over the years.

Lots of tough guys in here.

It’s ok to miss work and be sick. You don’t get some award for going to work sick you idiots

I'm sure your co-workers appreciate your fortitude as they watch your bronchitis turn to pneumonia right in front of their eyes, lol.

Haha, I haven’t really been sick in years (other than a minor cold). So I wouldn’t have missed any work anyway. I’d definitely be going either way though. I already use all my days for vacations.

I called in "sick" Friday after they announced they were slashing our salary. **** them.

KCTitus 07-14-2018 11:18 AM

I have an employee that through June has missed more than half of the available working days, through a variety of time off, doctors visits, 2 (yes, two) different bereavement leaves and a 6-8 week disability period. Fortunately, this person is my most poor performing person so it really doesnt impact the teams performance.

pretty impressive to miss that much time and still have a job...

I'm never sick.

I do take my vacation time

Bugeater 07-14-2018 11:21 AM

Up until I left my most recent job last October, I had only taken two sick days in the 3 1/2 years I worked there. Which ****ed me in the end, because when the property sold the company didn't have to pay me for the remaining 80+ hours of sick time I accumulated and never used.

The moral of the story, use your ****ing sick time, even if you aren't really sick. And don't feel guilty about it.
