Favorite Tom Petty song?

Yeah, that's not a thing I have. Waaaay too many great songs.

He did a song called King Of The Hill with Roger McGuinn I love that song.

Played the Traveling Wilburys albums over the weekend for he first time in maybe 10 years?

Awesome stuff! Although I think the second one suffered from losing Orbison after his death.

Rough one to pick... I went with Refugee

Just love the song.... kinda speaks to me about breaking away from what hold's you back and getting on with life.

The first one that came to mind was You Got Lucky, so I'll go with that.

A really good song of his that wasn't mainstream so much is The Wild One, Forever. Really outstanding story within this song that I think alot of guys could relate to. Just never got the air play some of his others got, but it was really early in his career.

I have a huge file on my ipod..played it the whole time I was doing his painting.

...I teared up a little for the first time ever when the painting was completed. Kind of surprised me a bit.

Totally somber mood, realizing what a huge impact he had on my life. Very few artists have the capability to make you relate and think of you, instead of them.

That's a pure and true connection.

I was a DJ at Mizzou when the first TP album came out, and I was there through "Southern Accents." American Girl, Breakdown, the whole "Damn the Torpedos" album, all great stuff. And TP was just a real good guy. The anti-rock star. Southern Gentleman, family man, cool guy with a really great sense of humor. He'll be sorely missed.

Great live version. He must have had a bad cold, he kept checking his nose.

Sure it was probably a cold.

To many songs to choose from but American girl is always one of my favorites to listen to.

I've got several. He did a slowed down acoustic version of Even the Losers that was out of this world. Breakdown, Honeybee, Jammin' Me, Don't Scare Easy, I Forgive it All, Wildflowers, and You Wreck me were all really good songs that don't get as much attention as some of his more well-known hits.

You Got Lucky was my pick but he just had so many great songs. I always appreciate it when a Petty song comes on even if I don't always seek out his music to listen to.

Something about that song.

Wildflowers is such a great album.

Jammin Me is another i really like.

I voted for You Got Lucky, but Crawling Back to You is pretty high on my list.
