I really didn't like him getting sent down last year after he got into a slump. Sure enough when he came back he did well again. And then of course this year him not getting the spot to start the season was even worse. He has definitely earned his place and dealt with the difficulties of not being a top prospect.

I don't think he did anything to deserve the spot to start the year.

I was totally for sending him down last year. He looked lost and frustrated.

I think one could argue that being sent down helped him bounce back into what we are seeing this year.

Last year anyone would be warranted to think that. This year he is legit. This is coming from someone who wanted him nowhere near the 2B job this year because I thought he was exactly what you mentioned.
