Because they pride themselves in being "calm" and giving the appearance of being cool - no public emotion. And they claim people "are trying too hard" at times to, when clearly they aren't. If anything they're not trying hard enough! They're now waiting on things to come to them instead of going and getting it. Ned has probably preached it in the clubhouse all during this disgusting streak... That's the whole "waiting for the awesome bus" reference. |
This reminds me of the 2006 Royals.

Nationals have scored 23 runs today. Around here we call that a good month for the Royals
Oh and Anthony Rendon has driven in 4 more runs today than our 200 million dollar man has this year. |

You should really put that power to good use. |
1st base is open with two outs and Sano has ****ing owned us this year.
Why would you even pitch to him? |
dude we have to be tanking, right? I mean Hos consistently swings at ball 4, our pitchers immediately allow runs right after we score. It has to be on purpose, right? I mean a group of pros cannot collectively suck this bad, can they?

Athletes aren't usually world class poker-face politicians, they're usually emotional competitors. So unless we looked for the least emotional people, or the least caring/competitive people, I'd say their lack of emotion is a bad sign. |

If anything this year and really last year have made me realize just how amazing the runs in '14/'15 were. Remember, all the projections those years had the Royals about as shitty as they are now. This really may be a regression to the expected. |
Sano is still no Anthony Rendon

2016 Alex Gordon. Can't even move a runner over to 3rd
