I switched to hockey because I can't care more than they do!

Because they pride themselves in being "calm" and giving the appearance of being cool - no public emotion. And they claim people "are trying too hard" at times to, when clearly they aren't. If anything they're not trying hard enough!
They're now waiting on things to come to them instead of going and getting it. Ned has probably preached it in the clubhouse all during this disgusting streak... That's the whole "waiting for the awesome bus" reference.

This reminds me of the 2006 Royals.

Nationals have scored 23 runs today. Around here we call that a good month for the Royals

Oh and Anthony Rendon has driven in 4 more runs today than our 200 million dollar man has this year.

It's pretty cool that you know exactly what these guys are thinking, just by watching them on TV.

You should really put that power to good use.

1st base is open with two outs and Sano has ****ing owned us this year.

Why would you even pitch to him?

petegz28 04-30-2017 03:18 PM

dude we have to be tanking, right? I mean Hos consistently swings at ball 4, our pitchers immediately allow runs right after we score. It has to be on purpose, right? I mean a group of pros cannot collectively suck this bad, can they?

The truth is I don't have a clue what they're thinking. But without a sign of concern from them we can only be left to guess if they're thinking at all.

Athletes aren't usually world class poker-face politicians, they're usually emotional competitors. So unless we looked for the least emotional people, or the least caring/competitive people, I'd say their lack of emotion is a bad sign.

If anything this year and really last year have made me realize just how amazing the runs in '14/'15 were. Remember, all the projections those years had the Royals about as shitty as they are now. This really may be a regression to the expected.

siberian khatru 04-30-2017 03:20 PM

Sano is still no Anthony Rendon

Why Not? 04-30-2017 03:25 PM

2016 Alex Gordon. Can't even move a runner over to 3rd

KCCHIEFS27 04-30-2017 03:30 PM

Atleast Moss is heating up!!

Why Not? 04-30-2017 03:31 PM

An Esky hit with RISP? Lord, you may take me now

Dartgod 04-30-2017 03:31 PM

Moss and Esky with hits in the same inning?

Our mistake is we've gone away from small ball and speed in a big park. Getting rid of Dyson was a mistake and bringing in moss was another. Our hitting coach took a year off at the same time as we're swinging at shit bouncing 3 feet in front of the plate. Dayton and Yost think they're hot shit after 2014/15 and it isn't that simple.

At least Strahm appears fixed
