Rollover 5
Charles 7
Reid 2
Colquitt 4
Foles 11

That's 29 million worth of guys we can replace with draft picks.

BossChief 02-13-2017 06:55 PM

Also, what's the deal with Josh Mauga?

Rotoworld shows him as making 3m in 2017, but overthecap has him as not on the roster and us having 750,000 in dead money because of him.

They will probably have around 20 million in space once they decline the Foles option and release Charles. They will probably ens up tagging Berry again, which already sinks that down to 7. They will have even less after keeping a few RFAs.

They will have to releaee some others to afford the rookies and have space to sign players as they need em during the year.

Rookies will only take up about $2.5 m more against the cap, so I dunno what you're going on about there.

Chiefs won't tag Berry and, if they are smart, they won't sign him to some ridiculous contract either.

Really, they only need to find room in 2017, because they'll have room going forward.

The Chiefs will have 11 picks.

The rookie pool will probably be closer to 7m

Yes, you're absolutely right, but you're not factoring top-51 net cap effect.

Every player you sign above that 51st threshold replaces an existing contract in the top-51. This is why a site like OTC tells you to factor in -$465,000 for every draft pick. That yields a far lower net cap effect.

Here's the Chiefs estimated draft class "cost:"

1 $1,826,279
2 $783,638
3 $653,210
3c $640,421
4 $606,308
5 $526,188
5c $515,115
6c $492,275
6c $492,275
7 $481,848
Tot $7,017,557

Now, here's the bottom 10 contracts of the top-51

DJ Alexander $665,563
Seantavius Jones $615,000
Rakeem Nunez-Roches $615,000
Ramik Wilson $615,000
Khaseem Greene $615,000
Montori Hughes $615,000
D.J. White $588,253
Tyreek Hill $586,260
Dadi Nicolas $579,803
Isaiah Battle $570,000

So, now you pick the top 10 of those 20 salaries, and they will count against the cap. That will be these:

1 $1,826,279
2 $783,638
3 $653,210
3c $640,421
DJ Alexander $665,563
Seantavius Jones $615,000
Rakeem Nunez-Roches $615,000
Ramik Wilson $615,000
Khaseem Greene $615,000
Montori Hughes $615,000

The total of these:

1 $1,826,279
2 $783,638
3 $653,210
3c $640,421

less the total of these:

D.J. White $588,253
Tyreek Hill $586,260
Dadi Nicolas $579,803
Isaiah Battle $570,000

is going to be your net cap effect.

That is $3,903,548 - $2,324,316 = $1,579,232

So, I actually overestimated it by saying 2.5 m.

Draft will affect the cap by approximately $1.6 m.

Hes not at Trumps level. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt but he definately has the traits of a narcissist that's for sure.

He just wants ammo so he could use posts against me because he is clearly biased towards me. When a person doesn't like someone, that person will do whatever it takes to work against that person. That's all this is.

The Chiefs are certainly going to tag Berry again. Is the best move? Maybe not, but that's what they are gonna do.

The other figure you pulled out from who knows where is moon math because the top 51 rule ends as the season starts.

Dunerdr 02-13-2017 09:51 PM

I thought berry said he'd sit before playing on the tag again?
