Hmmm.

I'm going to respectfully say no on this one. Bama has just not given me a reason this year to think that they're going to lose. Clemson is a very good team, and I would be thrilled to see them win, but I just don't know. I hope it's a good, competitive game. College football needs that over anything. I would prefer a low-medium scoring game and some positives for each team on both sides of the ball. I'd prefer Clemson to win to simply change the tune, and because I prefer cheering for the underdog.

Yeah I like cheering for the underdog as well. Its just that after watching those games I really like Clemson. Its always hard to bet against Ala though so I kept the bet small.

Maybe I should move there :hmmm:

College is great for that, no shortage of shit to do or people to do shit with. OTOH, it's also bad for that because of the same reason. My current problem, and one that leads me to envisioning myself rather working in an office over working at home, is that I procrastinate too much. In an office setting (or semi-office setting if I can travel), I think that I would be able to focus better.
For example, I'll stay up all night to finish a paper or assignment that I could've finished at an earlier time. It doesn't bother me exactly, I will brew up a pot of coffee and have a grand time doing it, but it's a bad habit that I need to shed before I graduate college. LMAO

Working from home does take some adjustment and it's not for everyone. Being able to do it is a great skill to have. Now, if I had a family I'd want to go into an office to get away from that for a bit. LOL. It works so well for me. Heck, sometimes I don't get out of bed till noon. Just pull the laptop over from the other side of the bed and join my first meeting. Usually naked. I've showered during meetings, had sex, napped through, drove cross country doing meeting for 7 hours, all kinds of shit.

Boy did they ever hand it to Ohio State. Jeesh.
The lack of competitiveness in the first two games was disappointing. The Bama-Washington game went about as expected, but Clemson and Ohio State? Holy shit. What a wreck.

We had a mini discussion in the college football thread on the future of the College Football Playoff. Some came to an agreement that the NCAA should expand the playoff to 8 teams, while some didn't. Personally, I am for an expansion to 8 in theory, but I don't know if the logistics with the extra game would work. My proposal was that the champion of each power-5 conference gets an automatic bid into the playoff to give weight to conference champions, while reserving three spots for wild card teams. That way, good wild card teams can still be seeded above, say, a weaker conference champion.

Yeah. My wife and I are retired although she works maybe 15 hours a week from home for some kind of library consortium.

It was a thriller. Hell of a game to watch as a fan, yet irritating because KU cannot play a lick of defense at the moment. This is my first year at KU so I have never seen KU play K-State before, would've been cool to be there or working the game (marketing intern for the Athletic Dept.), but I am enjoying my time at home for break.

There are some solid streaming sites online that are good for sports if you want me to link, just make sure to download an ad-blocker.
