Wife makes fun of me relentlessly for it.

Funny thing is....my kids don't like sloppy joes.

Yes, we haven't made them in awhile.

1 lb ground beef
1 onion chopped
Cook and drain
Add
1 can of tomato sauce
1 package of seasoning
Squirt of ketchup
Squirt of mustard
Splash or two of worcestershire sauce
Shake or two of crushed red pepper
1 tsp sugar aprox. I do a shake or two
Simmer until thick

Butter and toast bun
Top with meat, swirl of ketchup and mustard
Plow with fries or chips

Give me 1:45 hours and ill be there.

That doesn't sound like a regular shitty sloppy Joe.

SAUTO 09-02-2016 05:34 PM

I request fries with mine though.

I like mine from Sloppy Joes in Madetra Beach

cdcox 09-02-2016 08:56 PM

Manwhich!

I'm in a sloppy joe coma while some of you are still deciding whether to squirt Frenches or Dijon into the skillet.

I like sloppy joes, but my tastes seem to differ from most people: I love the McRib.

That sounds difficult. Do you eat it with your hands or with a fork?

cdcox 09-02-2016 10:17 PM

Buns.

Hands. Tiny sandwiches actually have more structural integrity than other ones.

i was inspired. i made white castle sliders. first time, damned good. too good too :D

displacedinMN 09-03-2016 12:32 PM

Wife makes them with Cream of Mushroom soup instead of a tomato base.
Adds a scoop of Miracle whip.

all on top of browned hamburger.
I am not a cook and she throws it together differently each time, so I may have missed something.

Calls it a tavern. Much better.
