I say the rationale behind batting Moose second is that Gordon isn't 100% healthy and second Moose would probably see some better pitches in the 2 hole. Just my opinion on the matter.

I always thought Esky would end up at leadoff. This last year was the first year he looked healthy and perhaps matured when the season began
