I lived in SF from 1995 - 2009 and never heard anyone that disliked him. I attended a charity event for work when he was on Dancing With The Stars and he was in attendance. People treated him like a god.

It's an interesting story. But man, I really don't need another reason for Boston fans to bitch about how horrible their life is and to suggest that their team is getting a bad rep.

This is bad on Jerry Rice. The Pats still have a history of shady shit beyond Deflategate. And Boston fans can please stop acting like they have such a huge chip on their shoulder because God forbid their gazillion championships in NBA, NFL, MLB, NHL isn't enough.

That's all good. But I can tell you from personal experience, whether it's a guy like DT or even David Lee Roth, it can be a bummer to meet people you admire for their talent.
