That's a Billy Butler trademark. Jeff Passan mentioned the other day that he thinks Billy had gotten tired of chatting up the guys in the dugout and is now thrilled to have a league's worth of new players to run his mouth to at first base. He said he credits Billy's success more to him being happy about that, rather than just being able to play in the field, lol.

Which brings up the question, baseball is basically a job for them. If they're winning or losing, it probably doesn't matter to them as long as the checks keep coming? They have probably the best job on the planet.

Well, in certain organizations that's true, however, other organizations demand success so there has to be pressure.
