Thank you for confirming the righteousness of Bob Dole's opinion.

If you ever checked your PM's you would have known this months ago.

I still have no idea what Twitter really is.
I've thought about looking into it, but really don't know what to expect etc.

Is it something like you get the equivalent of text messages from people you subscribe /follow?

More or less. If you follow a reporter, for instance, and he tweets: "Player X has just been suspended by the NFL," you see it in your timeline immediately.

So it depends what the value of that is to you. Or some people basically follow friends and family. Some people just tweet jokes, basically. Or follow politics, science, etc.
If you don't want random people following you you can lock your account. And you can block people you don't like.

I was leery of twitter at first but now I love it. You get sports information there first before other sources it seems. Weather alerts and other types of news too.

tooge 02-26-2014 04:10 PM

I only have like 7 followers, and I have no idea who they are. I've only tweeted a few times.

Yeah, that's basically how I use it. Sports writers seem to get a scoop, tweet it out, then start working on writing it up into an actual article.

I have Fake Katie Horner. And KC Mayor Sly James. Other than those two there's not a lot of interest.

Hammock Parties 02-26-2014 05:45 PM
