I have never had that particular issue, but I have had plenty with the new player.
If I have one gripe about MLB.tv, it's that when they release their new, updated players they are often buggy to all hell. In 2012-13, they had a simple player that you could add a NEXDEF (dvr) plug in as an option. I never did, but that was by far my favorite player. It was simple, you could set the quality yourself or have the player automatically set it for you. Little lagging, perfect.
Last season, they introduced a new player (currently the "previous player"). I ****ing hated it. It seemed like it would never settle on a quality-setting, but it would try to play the highest quality, or it would go to a black circle with the spinning circle in the middle. But, they allowed us to go back to the player from 2012-13 (nexdef), so I didn't really care. Now this year, they took away the nexdef player for good, so I am forced to use last years main player. Whatever, nothing I can do and it still beats searching the internet for streaming sites.
Then I find out there's another new player a couple weeks ago, I was pumped. Come to find out, it's buggy as shit. It has gotten better since release, but I can never get it to not buffer constantly. When I open up the old player and it runs fine. I wish they would stop trying to fix what isn't broken. Now I can't stand the new one and have to go back to the old one because I hate the newest one more than the old player from last season. I just want the player back where I could set the quality myself.
tl;dr- first world problems
