24 mg. Probably too much. I had no idea that the nicotine % determined how strong the hit is. But my wife swears that's what it is. Oh, and I don't like flavors. I've always smoked 1 brand of smokes and that's it. Marb reds. So that's the fluid I buy as well. Not the same, but close enough. :)

Marb red = 1.8% or 18- go with that and that should take down the throat hit.
Even if you have to go to a lower nicotine level, just to tolerate it, you can hit it more and it's still healthier for you. Just remember: you have your 2.4 if you find yourself in a dire situation, which is key.
I only smoked one brand and it was menthol. I can't stand menthol e-juice. Try some stuff, you might surprise yourself and in my opinion you should never look for anything that reminds you of your old cigarettes; you won't find it. Just accept the change and realize the flavor is a part of that. Honestly the exploration of juices turned it into a bit of a hobby for me and made the transition more enjoyable.
Sooner or later you'll find yourself saying I need my e-cig, not a cig and it's all down hill from there.
