God that shit was maddening.
One play away from taking a lead and we still couldn't get there.
I still can't believe we had two TD's taken away.

But we want to see improvement... and right now, the only way we see improvement is with a QB we can all get behind. Those don't exactly grow on trees. I'm like many fans here.. I am torn. I want to win.. I hate losing... but at the same time... I want change. I don't want to sit at 7-9... 8-8, 9-7 for eternity, which is the path this team is on, currently.

I beg to differ. Put me down for losses.

Fall back and regroup as opposed to trying to be high heels and makeup on the fat chick and calling her a bombshell.

Do it. Colts have Luck because of falling back and saying "ya know what, this isn't working".

I should have said, "i don't think anyone likes to see the team lose:... some people have differing values, obviously.

I was, but then I called my guy and put $100 on the money line for the Chiefs.....this means a loss is a near certainty.

I don't understand how this has us picking #2. I would think that NO would own the tiebreaker as we beat them head to head. I see us at #3 right now.

Head to head has no bearing in regard to draft order.
Tiebreaker is strength of schedule

Strength of Schedule is the first tie breaker; head to head doesn't factor in at all.

Great, another suck for whoever season. I don't understand the thinking of watching your favorite team out there and rooting for them to lose. If they end up stinking up the joint and get there, I'll live with it. I would be more pissed off if they trot out Matt Cassel again then if we lose the top pick. You don't root for losses.

if you give a shit about this team ever being good, you root for them to go 1-15...

the position of QB is like the #1 pick in the NBA draft...it is far and away the best way to change your franchise and you achieve it by sucking ass completely...

short term pain for long term gain

or, you can root for year #32 of 7-9.....yay

Leaf to Brees you mean?

Yeah I suppose so.

Wasn't trying to say Rivers came right after Leaf but more to that they didn't shy away from using another 1st on a QB a few years down the road.

But yes you're correct. Drew Brees is just another example. 1st pick in the 2nd.

They got it right in that they kept investing in that position until they found a winner.

Vick to Ryan
Boller to Flacco

I'd rather do a 1-15 season than live eternally in 7-9 purgatory for the rest of my life.

It looks like the Chiefs are closer to that 1-15 thing than they are the playoffs. They're also stuck in the mire and desperately need a franchise QB to break the cycle. If they had that QB (like St. Louis has Bradford, for example) I wouldn't want to see them tank the season either, but there is no other way out. Manti Teo or some dick-faced OT or DE isn't going to solve this team's ****ing problems next year.

We should definitely get in that habit. Starting in 2013.
Gone are the days where teams win important games in spite of their QB.

Chief Roundup 10-10-2012 02:25 PM

I would rather this team have a 10-6 season and be willing to trade up in the draft to get a QB. But I think we all know that is not going to happen. So I hope we lose enough to be able to get one of the top guys.
I know this won't be popular but if we end up with the 1st overall pick and could turn that pick into Wilson along with several other top picks, whatever combination of 1st and 2cd rounders, over the next couple of years I would have to trade the pick.

Yes, Raiders have their 1st this year. I really doubt they pick up a QB in the first round. I see them getting the first overall pick and trading down to get more picks.

We'll also give you guys a 7th round pick and a Jimmy John's gift certificate if you'll pick up Rolondo McClain's contract. Italian Night Club is the bomb, yo.
