I'm keeping my fingers crossed that somehow this isn't true. Or at least the compensation is different. This is a low, low, LOW day in Chiefs history.

I don't really care what they traded for Alex Smith if Reid likes him as much as Glazer says.

This team is making a commitment to Alex Smith as the starter, and he will be just good enough for the next 5 years to keep this sorry excuse of an NFL franchise from looking at other options.

I said the day that Reid was hired that I would do what I've done since the day that Paul Wiggen was hired, and for almost every hire since.

I will just wait for the inevitable regime change.

This move guarantees that wait will be longer than I had hoped.

What makes it worse is that Alex Smith has the actual physical ability to be good but still couldn't do any better than Cassel

I was finishing my morning install and after the hopper got running, I switched to espn and it was on the scroll saying we traded for Alex Smith...I called another tech and asked him if he wanted my other install. Luckily, he said yes.

The news completely deflated me.

PS3 and Booze all morning so far. Still doesn't make the pain go away
