Cool. Then don't quote my posts.

You're like one of those late night infomercial jackoffs.

I can even respect your belief that a league with x, y , or z settings works better for your leagues for whatever reason, but your schtick on this point has gotten old.

Hootie 12-10-2012 01:25 PM

only two starting QB's not rostered in that league this week?

Nick Foles and John Skelton. Like it should be...you know, because QB is the most important position in sports.

But 10 team, traditional leagues...LMAO

Every week you start who? 10 out of 32 NFL QB's? That's the most ****ing ridiculous thing, and unrealistic I might add, in fantasy football.

You want to know why FFL is considered luck? Because of 1 QB leagues. Luck isn't nearly the factor in 2 QB, deep roster leagues like I play. The league I linked has been going on for four years and I have four division titles, three #1 seeds, two points titles and 1 championship. This is a super competitive, super active, pay to play league as well.

But you guys keep playing devalued QB leagues where guys like Roethlisberger, Kaepernick, Freeman, Ryan, E. Manning, etc...DON'T EVEN START. Insane.

Right there with you. Never had beef or thought Hootie was annoying. He's a pretty smart guy when it comes to fantasy football.

But him preaching about 2QB leagues to us, which ultimately makes no difference to him is incredibly annoying.

Anyone else see an issue here?

No, it's irritating because I know I'm right. And everyone who sees the light and plays in one of these leagues always tells me "holy shit, that league was way more fun/competitive..."

but 90% of the people I talk to about this, and even an entire facebook message chat between a league of 14 guys where 13 objected to the idea of an OP league...completely reject it because it's not what they are "used" to...

they like the leagues that are "realistic" where RB's account for 30 of the first 40 picks...where starting 3 RB's is realistic but starting 2 QB's isn't!!!

It's ****ing reeruned. I tell you what, I'll set up a 12 team league just like the one I linked and I'll invite all of you to play...$50 a man and I'll add an additional $100 to my $50 buy in to the prize pool...we'll play a year and then at the very end tell me it wasn't the most competitive, thought invoking fantasy football league you've ever been in.

I hear every week people complaining about how "unlucky" they are etc. etc. etc.

Play in a league that starts 3 WR's, a FLEX and an OP and then tell me how unlucky you get...the cream always rises in this league.

This year, the top 6 point scorers all made the playoffs (6 teams make the playoffs)...

The way I have this league set up makes for the absolute most realistic and skillful FFL. Plain and simple.

I guarantee in 5 years 2 QB (or OP) leagues will be the norm. Just guarantee it.

Ceej 12-10-2012 01:32 PM

I don't think anyone has said your style or league isn't fun or competitive.

I enjoy the standard leagues I'm in now.

I don't need a used car salesman to tell me he's right about something that's completely and totally irrelevant. At least to me.

well it's to the point where I don't enjoy 1 QB leagues at all. Not one bit. They take no skill and result in people benching Aaron Rodgers in the playoffs for Josh Freeman.

the strategy is RB, RB, RB, WR, WR, TE, WR, QB, QB, RB, RB, FLEX, FLEX

it's ****ing mindless and scripted...my sister could look at the ESPN rankings list and draft RB after RB and win a league...

that doesn't happen in the leagues with OP and the way I have it set up...it actually takes skill, and the skill factor has been totally eliminated in traditional, 1 QB leagues because of ESPN and cheat sheets and the experts

not so in my league

Ceej 12-10-2012 01:34 PM

I understand where you're coming from. But, you don't need to force feed us your way when it isn't the right or wrong way.

What does it matter to you what sort of formatted leagues we play in?

Hootie 12-10-2012 01:36 PM

well that's fine but in previous debates about this topic people have scoffed at the idea and refuse to even try an OP league...it's RIDICULOUS

and I have never heard one good rebuttal about it, either...every time I mention the fact that in 10 team traditional guys like Tony Romo, Carson Palmer, Josh Freeman, Matt Schaub, Eli Manning, Joe Flacco, Russel Wilson, Ben Roethlisberger, Philip Rivers, Jay Cutler, Colin Kaepernick ETC DON'T EVEN PLAY

But any stiff that gets a carry is a FLEX player...people start Alex Greene every week over Eli ****ING Manning. Ryan Broyles over Ben Roethlisberger.

REALISTIC!

because FFL is becoming an investment for me and I'd like to be able to play in more leagues for more $$$ but don't waste my $$$ on lottery FFL which is what a 1 QB league is

kcfanXIII 12-10-2012 01:41 PM

I absolutely hated my two qb leagues. hated them. i will always play in one qb leagues, and deal with a surplus of talent at a position. if you're into them, more power to you, but don't act like EVERYBODY prefers it.

Hootie 12-10-2012 01:44 PM

I feel like the only ones who don't prefer them don't understand them.

"OMG QB's are going before RB's?! What do I do!?" - sort of thing

I will say...I would almost guarantee I'd win, at the very least, the points title against any 11 guys who wanted to play me in my 12 team, OP league I linked to earlier.

People are so stuck in their ways they would have no idea how to manage that draft like me and the 11 guys I play with every year. It would just be a raping.

Ceej 12-10-2012 01:57 PM

I'm skeptical about out of the ordinary ffls.

3 or 4 years ago I joined my first IDP league. It is so unique and different. I really enjoy it. I'm sure I would enjoy two QB leagues to. But is that the right way to play ffl? Not necessarily. Is one QB leagues the right way to play ffl? Not necessarily.

I'm not going to beat a to a pulp for being passionate about something you and enjoy and that provides you with additional income.

But, I'm also expecting you to respect my choice to play in whatever leagues I choose to whether you interpret them right way to play or not.
