There went any last hope.

Hit one out of the stadium so I can turn this piece of shit off...

When your leader quits like this, not just the effort but also almost walks over to get the ball, why would we expect anyone else to care?

Webb has been their best reliever this PS and Shildt takes him out after a bloop hit and two quick outs to play platoon splits with an utterly ineffective Brebbia and he got predictably thrashed.
Shildt's management of his starters (Waino in both of his starts) and relievers has been completely inept. |

Nice to know that we're saddled with Matheny 2.0 for a while.

Nothing Shildt could have done this series. Want him to take at bats?

OK, Mrs. DeWitt.

Goldy with 4 strikeouts. Everyone shit on Fowler. This is just a beat down from the Nats.

What a pussy. Glad when he’s gone next year.

I had to endure him flaying about for almost all of the 2018 season. The worst or second to worse hitter in all of baseball. Yet, they kept running him out there. Killing our rallies, costing us games. Looked totally lost yet there he was in the lineup. This post season has brought up all those bad memories. He's hitting .060 in the playoffs. Down two games and he strikes out 3 times on 10 pitches. Only 4 were strikes. St. Louis fans gave a standing ovation to a pitcher who just missed a no hitter against them. They rarely boo their own players. They booed Fowler in game 2, https://www.sportingnews.com/us/mlb/...i17xxgwp1l1x46 What was he at his best during his "bounce back" year? An average player? If we are going to have a normal offense that doesn't disappear for games at a time, the Fowlers and Carpenters need to go or be bench players at least. If Soto and Acuna can play in the early 20's, why not Dylan Carlson? |
Its not Fowlers fault that Mo gave him $85 million.
I have never understood this argument. |

I’m betting heavy on the Cards today. Can’t see them getting swept.
|
Didnt Fowler have the highest number of hard hit balls through the DS in all of the playoffs? How can you blame a guy for hard hits that just happen to get caught? It's a small sample size and shit happens. Fowler struck out 3 times last night. Goldschmidt struck out 4 times. Your entire lineup sucks. It's not just Fowler leading to essentially 2 unearned runs in 3 games.
Ozuna is about the only player in the lineup consistently hitting and you said you cant wait til hes gone while bitching about how bad others are hitting. |
I suppose if we are to look at the bright side, overperforming > underperforming.
This team has no business in the CS, so it has been quite awesome to see THIS team get this far. Sucks it looks like we are about to get swept, but it is what it is. |

Missed last night's game; kind of glad I did once I saw the score.
It doesn't help at all that I knew this was a probable outcome. However, I've seen my Cards do strange and wondrous things before, so I'm putting on my rally cap today. Let's go Redbirds!!! |
Cards have 1 more game to bean them for that ghey-ass Baby Shark stuff
|
Is it even worth watching tonight?
|
Hudson's already given up a single and a double in the first. Better get his shite together right now.
|
1 in. 1 out. 1 on 2nd.
|
One more on field abortion and we'll be put out of our misery.
|
Dammit. Another nats hit. 2 in now.
|
Hudson's leaving them up in the zone.
|
bases loaded. 1 out.
|
We gonna get 10-0'd tonight.
|
Out hit, out pitched, out managed
|
Well ****. That was horrible.
|
Wow.
What a bunch of reeruns. |
What in the actual ****?
|
Game over. Gonna watch the 'Yotes game instead.
It was a nice season. When are we going to start talking about off-season moves? |
Cardinals are playing like the 2005 Royals.
|
|
Yeah this was worth advancing for ROFL
|
Braves playing tonight?

Winning a playoff series over a superior talented team was great. Way better than sitting at home and hoping it gets better next year like the Cubs. Since when does winning suck? Only one team out of 32 ends the year with a win. |
If this is what trading my soul for a Stanley cup is worth, I’ll be OK.

I'm back. Realized that this might be the last time I see Wain-o pitch as a Cardinal. Maybe the last time I see Yadi play as well. Gonna tough this one out.

Still 3 more playoff wins than the Flubs.

This is worse than 04. These ****s had no business being in the postseason.

But as it gets closer to to the break, things start to pick up. The last month-and-a-half of the regular season is pretty exciting. Players start to bring their A-games. The playoffs are where it's really at. It's a completely different game. Everything is much faster, more physical, etc. If you want to see hockey how it's supposed to be played, wait until March or so. Or just wait til the playoffs. That's when everyone's laying everything on the line. |
YADI!!!

9 ****ing strikeouts already
|
10

Geez. No one but me was happy Yadi hit a dinger?
