FWIW, Walmarts in Illinois don't sell guns anymore (at least the ones in the Chicago area). I've lived up here long enough that it seems strange to see guns in them when I go back to Missouri.
They stopped here in Omaha a few years ago...

Honestly, I'd go back to a short barreled shotgun if you don't still have one.

The new grips for my 1911 came in.

These are the ones I wanted initially, but they were under a special category and not available, which made me think they wouldn't be making them any more. Of course, a week after I ordered a different set, they became available again. And I've been annoyed about it ever since.

They are certainly patriotic!

Nice! Although with a gun named the 'spartan' I would have been sorely tempted to get red grips! :D

I swear 1911s are almost as configurable as AR...that's also why they are easy to become a money pit!

Yeah, it's a Dawson set up. It was a little twitchy when I first got it, but it's great now. And I do plan on upgrading a couple more parts. It's a sickness. :D

And I know what you mean about the red grips. I did have my eye on these beauties, but in the end they cost too much and really aren't functional for competitive shooting.

My friend has a Nordic extension on one of his that brings the total capacity up to 48. You have to be careful installing it, though.

It's an AR-15 that chambered in 7.62x39.

It's been around for years, but nobody has done a good job at it.
