Cleveland looks like they will win, 5-1 in the 8th. A three way tie for the wild card would have been a nightmare scenario. Will still be bad if Texas and the Rays tie. Thought there was a tie breaker. If they end up tied its an extra game on Monday. If the winner happens to beat Cleveland in the playoff they would have burnt their top two pitchers going into the divisional playoffs.

One down.

Rays win. Rangers are 2-1 up on the Angels in the 6th.

Cleveland wins, they are in the playoff and will be at home. Rangers up 3-2 in the top of the 7th. Looking like there will be a play-in game.

Holy shit, who could have seen 97 wins and HFA in the playoffs? This team looked done several times.

I think they may have put in Kelly once they knew the Braves were pounding on the Phillies and they couldn't afford to lose the game. Glad to see it worked out. Westbrook, thanks for the 11th inning of Game 6. Now get the **** out.

You guys ready for the post season? I feel a lot more comfortable facing the Reds/Pirates than I do the Dodgers. Their pitching staff is nails and we didn't play them well this year.

We can beat and/or lose to anyone. I just really worry about the lineup sans Craig. I know Adams is hot, but he's so strikeout prone, and w/ the way managers massage situational lefties in the PS, I fear that he's going to get picked on...a lot.

Lynn to start game 2. :banghead:
http://www.stltoday.com/sports/baseb...be6074da7.html I don't get this move at all. Matheny says is based on experience. He has one more year than Miller. I'm not a happy camper with this decision. |
