He has everything physically that you could want. He was a winner. He seems smart and appears to have good leadership skills (that's not for sure though).
Strong arm.

Problem with him is consistency and mechanics.

Raw but unlimited potential if he puts it together in the right situation. Sounds a lot like McNabb to me.

I just don't like his mechanics to be honest. He's really mechanical looking when throwing and guys like that seem to always have accuracy problems, which he does tend to.

So, no, he doesn't have everything you could want at this point. There is something there and I wouldn't mind to draft him. But he's a guy I'd draft knowing full well he probably isn't playing a meaningful down in the NFL for 2 years.

I think you are forgetting how good McNabb actually was coming out.

Matt Miller. Go.

Geno did much better than Barkley on the board.

And this is a offense that Barkley is used to.

But at the end of the day, a fresh out of college QB is going to stumble on something like that.

O.city 02-26-2013 12:05 AM

I'm a little surprised by that, seeing that Barkley is a pure WCO guy for four years. I just think thats a pretty wonky situation.

I tell you something that detailed, then 8 minutes later I ask you to regurgitate it etc. Thats pretty god damn hard to do.

BossChief 02-26-2013 12:05 AM

Says he is not lobbying for more money

Do not disrespect me, people know me as a great football player and then I hear about people moving me to guard.

blasts bleacher report...blah blah bleacher report with move him to guard...

BossChief 02-26-2013 12:07 AM

clowning that as a freshman, he played left guard and Monroe played right guard...because he could pass block better than Monroe...thats where they wanted to run.

He is genuinely PISSED about hearing people talking about moving him to guard...especially from bleacher report.

Elaborate. I don't wanna listen to that.

BossChief 02-26-2013 12:16 AM

he says that he has made it from 0-70 and wants to make it to 100 and be the best left tackle in football.

Good for him.

He came a long way this past season and turned into a good left tackle. With a QB with any type of pocket awareness, he's got a shot at being a very good left tackle.

I hope this puts a huge ass chip on his shoulder and when he signs, he just absolutely destroys people in 2013.

He's the key to drafting Geno. And he's put it into the hands of Dorsey and Reid with his comments, which seem sincere and genuine.

O.city 02-26-2013 12:27 AM

Assuming that interview was today, seems Geno is picking up some steam. It would be pretty devastating if we pass on him, he goes to Oakland and becomes an all pro.
