Second, I was basing that on a post right before, not any of you guys.

I'm not spot trolling at this point PGM, you always call me on it when I do, working on changing my game.

Oh I'm all aboard the Chocolate pain bandwagon. Barkley would be a disappointment but I like the player and think he'll be a solid starter in the NFL

This is gonna be a long couple months ugh.

Hope it wasn't me. I just said he comes off as cocky. I'd still be perfectly fine with Barkley at #1. I just personally believe Geno is the better option with higher upside and a similar floor.

Jekyll would bury my plans to make a couple trips to Arrowhead this year. I'd still go if they took Bark.

This.

Chiefnj2 02-25-2013 07:01 PM

Why would anyone be perfectly fine with Barkley at #1? Are you that desperate for a QB that you'll take a guy who would have one of the worst arms in the NFL?

Pasta Little Brioni 02-25-2013 07:02 PM

JFC you guys love exaggerating shit.

penbrook 02-25-2013 07:03 PM

Its Geno or nothing. We want our franchise qb and Alex Smith is not.

This is the dumbest thing I've read on Chiefs Planet since last Thursday.

You've really gotten lazy with your football takes this last year. His lack of arm strength is overblown much the way "there is no 1st round QB" is overblown. He doesn't have a particularly strong arm but can still make the throws.

Although he threw short more than most guys in this draft, he also went down field and connected more than most. Helped his ypa a bunch.

silver5liter 02-25-2013 07:10 PM

The reason I am not a fan of barkley is because I feel like he would have to have alot around him to be good.

ChiefsCountry 02-25-2013 07:13 PM

The funny thing was nj loved him some Colt McCoy.

Check this out. He made a backhanded comment about Barkley (notice the quotes) in one of his many attempts to take jabs at the pro-Geno crowd. :hmmm:

Pretty cool comparisons.

"Weak" armed Barkley has the best completion % of the big 4 on passes over 20 yards.

Geno Smith is horrible under center, has the worst 3rd down completion% of the big 4 and his passes average less than 5 yards in the air. On the plus side when he throws mid-range he has very good accuracy 6-20 yards.

Wilson is below "average" on all passes over 5 yards.

Nassib seems to have the most consistency looking at accuracy/depth.

I think Alex Smith coming for free or for a middle round pick allows us to trade back and raise the talent level on the team the most by acquiring additional picks. However, if that deal can't get done (or even if it can), I'd be fine with moving down to 10ish and taking Barkley as well.
