The Royals suck and always will unless they get an owner that has the cash and wants to win.

stonedstooge 04-06-2013 07:56 PM

Every outing Jonathen Broxton had when he was a Royal was similar to that

You still let him pitch. He got 2 outs. He's young, let him fight through it. What message does it send taking him out after he gets the 2 outs?

Mr. Laz 04-06-2013 07:56 PM

first walk should have gotten Yost's attention
when started struggling the 2nd guy Yost should have gotten someone warming up
after he walked the 2nd guy, Yost should have pulled him.

Yost just didn't want to hurt Holland's feelings and pull him ... not in the baseball 101 book.

LMAO.

That loss isn't on Yost. Give me a ****ing break.

You leave the closer out there.

You can fire Ned Yost tonight and bring in a different guy tomorrow... the result there was probably the same. Especially after he looked like he'd reeled himself in with the 2 strikeouts.

You don't pull the closer. It just doesn't happen. That is his inning.

gblowfish 04-06-2013 07:57 PM

Bastardo gets the win. The real bastardo tonight was Holland.

Great Expectations 04-06-2013 07:57 PM

Holland struck chase out, easy call was blown. Still should have won.

No matter how bad he is pitching.

CoMoChief 04-06-2013 07:57 PM

Still don't see how Yost survived that long losing streak to start off the season.

Jerm 04-06-2013 07:58 PM

Herrera for closer....

Nightfyre 04-06-2013 07:58 PM

God. Two last minute kicks in the balls in two games tonight.

Reaper16 04-06-2013 07:58 PM

Herrera is the guy with the closer's mentality in the Royals' pen. I don't give too much credence to that idea, but it does exist. Holland might not have the mental fortitude to handle the 9th inning for a club with playoff aspirations.
