I bet the Warriors buy in to the top 10 of the 2nd round.
|
I'm so glad that the Bucks drafted the ginger. I guess that Casper the Friendly Ghost wasn't available at the 17th pick in the first round

Huh, so Malik Newman did not get drafted? WTF did he think leaving early was a good idea?
|
Also, a strange coincidence. Mario Chalmers, Frank Mason, and now Devonte Graham were all drafted at #34.
|
What's the deal with Mo Bamba? How good of a pro can he be? Orlando really needed a point guard and a scorer but they missed out on Young so went BPA I guess. They're gonna have to do something with someone because they have a logjam at center now with Vucevic and Biyombo and now Bamba. I'm guessing they'll deal Vucevic for a bag of Ruffles. He's a pretty good rebounder so he'll have some value to someone.

That Laker bench is going to be nice and young for Lebron and PG

Paul George opts out.
Deadline is tomorrow. |
Sounds like the Lakers have made a big offer for Kawhi.
|
Quote:
Some LAL fans are in an uproar, me personally? I'd do it in a heartbeat. Rumors are a Kawhi trade clinches LeBron and not only that when healthy, he's a top 5 player in the league easily. Potential is just that, give me the proven commodity that is an elite player. |
George pretending to be interested in going back to OKC to avoid tampering.
ITS HAPPENING |
It is going to be a crazy but fun next 24-48 hours. I honestly don't know how this is all going to shake out but if I was betting man I say Lebron either goes to LA or stays in Cleveland.

So Lebron, PG and Leonard all possibly ending up in LA together?!?
Wow. |

Not a surprise but Lebron officially opts out and will be a FA again.
I believe with him opting out marks Houston off his list. |

I think everyone expected it and he did bring a championship to Cleveland so they probably aren't to upset. Plus there is still a chance he stays because with him opting out it probably takes several teams off the list including Houston and Boston. Basically it leaves LA, Philly or him staying. |
Paul George is itching to put up career lows in numbers and efficiency as he plays alongside LeBron.

PGs barber tweeted out PG is staying in OKC. So if Lebron goes to LA and LA.has to give up the farm for Leonard they likely come.up short and have a declining James. Maybe try to get the missing pieces for 19-20 I guess.
|
Paul George staying in OKC per Woj.
|
Durant is going to sign a one and one, so he's an unrestricted FA next summer.
Honestly I'm glad PG13 is staying in OKC. I think the Lakers are better going in a different direction, even waiting a year to see if they can get Leonard via FA or Durant. |
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">All-Star Chris Paul will sign a four-year, $160M max contract to stay with the Houston Rockets, league sources tell ESPN.</p>— Adrian Wojnarowski (@wojespn) <a href="https://twitter.com/wojespn/status/1013270978917519362?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">July 1, 2018</a></blockquote>

It's a smart move by Paul George. He gets more money, keeps more money, and from a "legacy" standpoint, becomes a legend in an area still stung by Durant's departure.
He'll be the loyal one who stayed instead of bolting back to California...and in those parts, loyalty is king. Besides, if LeBron signs in LA, PG13 is just an afterthought with the Lakers. Props to OKC for having the balls to make that trade and get it done before FA. |
Quote:
As far as a PG goes he should have stayed with the Pacers and made more money and had a better chance of getting to the Finals than staying with OKC. |
George is an idiot who will never win shit in OKC
|
OKC would be better without Melo

My dream is after next year & they get Melo off the books they can get KD back. Hmmm |
Refreshing move by PG. Do it the right way, young man.
|
OKC could have had a dynasty but they broke it up because they were cheap and didn't want to pay the tax.
But now with PG signing and resigning Grant they now will have a $155 million tax bill. So it looks like they may think about dropping Melo and stretch his contract out over the next 3 years. They won't be able to sign anybody except for vet minimum and I believe 1 player at the MLE level but they will save $91 million on their tax bill. |
So what the **** is Lebron going to do now? PG is staying in OKC, CP3 is staying in Houston, and the Spurs will rape the Lakers so badly in any trade for Kawhi now it's almost not worth it.

Why not to the right thing for once and just stay in Cleveland at this point?

Only me knows what's right for him |

He obviously is very concerned about his stats and legacy. The biggest knock on the guy is being the first great player to continuously need to jump teams in his prime to title chase. This is his last chance to do it the way the big boys used to. While.he may not care what I think staying home, taking.tour lumps and trying to rebuild for a last 2-3 year run would get him some respect with me and probably many others for whatever that is worth. I just don't think that is in his character though. |

Lakers will sign Boogie and LBJ. Paired with Ingram and Randle that's a pretty damn good team. Then you got Kuz and Hart coming off the bench. Wait til the trade deadline and get Leonard.
|
Fakers aren't getting shit ROFL
|
The Sixers are probably the best team to throw a wrench into it. If they can pull off a trade for Kawhi, they could field a pretty good lineup with Simmons, Embiid, Kawhi and LeBron. I'm not sure if they'd beat the Warriors, but some people would probably pick them to win it all.
They were just reporting on SportsCenter that the Sixers are still in talks trying to get Kawhi. |
Lebrons reps are meeting with Philly according to Woj. Terrible fit IMO.
|
Quote:
G Simmons G Redick (?) F Leonard F James C Embiid Not sure they have the Warriors depth but with that lineup they can probably pick off a couple vets for a low cost who want to play on a title contender. |
whats the point of having Magic if all he does is talk a big game to the media but actually gets none of these stars
Lebron and Boogie with those bums? enjoy your second round exit in the West, I guess |
