I've never done a fantasy draft before. How do previously-traded draft picks work into all of this?

Like, will the dude who picks the Chiefs be missing his 2018 1st rounder? Will the guy who picked the Browns have a million and one picks in the upcoming draft?

Nope what happens is we're actually in a random order and everyone has equal amount of picks of players. So when the draft order comes out, it's randomized by the CPU. This is also based on 2017 NFL schedule, so keep that in mind. We get 50ish rounds I believe. It might not even be 53, I'm not sure.

The draft will take us a while. But luckily we can simulate the CPU teams.

I just got in a couple online games tonight. I'm not rusty at all which is always good to see after I've taken a 2 month break from Madden. Then again, Madden IS the ONLY video game I play consistently.

I typically finish in the top 2% and defeat a top 5 overall player multiple times each year. This year, I'm in the top 20% because I've hardly touched it as much as usual. Top 20% is my worst showing in maybe ever.

In comparison, I will be lucky to win a game.... against the cpu even.

It's all in fun man. Since it's vs All-Madden it's going to make you a better player in the long run, trust me.

I'm not worried about it that much. I've played like maybe 10 games... and all on Pro setting. I get absolutely destroyed by the AI on Madden setting... like, i don't even see how people can play that shit lol

Really though, since we were doing a fantasy draft, didn't think at all about a teams roster or future draft situation since I figured it would just reset us all. Thought we were just picking whatever we wanted to look like/divisions we wanted to play in.

As we prepare for the draft.... Are we resetting all current injuries? Or we drafting with injuries? it Makes a huge difference how I get ready.

I started like 10-35 online lol. I'm now 101-95 and in the Top 19%. I'm decent but not great.

I've played 1 game online and it was a ****ing slog for both me and the opponent. LMAO Kicking was all ****ed up so we each had multiple kicks blocked and returned for TDs.

I've had slight lag when kicking but barely noticeable. The rest is fine.

If I was used to the timing it'd be no problem, but since that was the first time I played All Madden in a long ass time virtually every kick was scripted into a block besides kickoffs.

You just have to hold down the button for a few seconds to alter the timing on the snap, bro. Like hold it for 10 seconds just to make sure.

Was going to say—in regards to trades, I’m not going to put a limit on them. BUT...

All trades need to be posted here before being executed so that they can be cleared. The main reason for this is that sometimes people go crazy with their trading and it completely ****s their salary cap. Obviously another huge reason is how easy the CPU can be manipulated with trades.

That’ll all be posted with the official rules by this weekend.

Another thing we should do: limit trading down in the draft. It's too easy to game the CPU.

It's supposed to be a snake draft anyways. It makes no sense why those picks would reflect a fantasy draft starting from scratch.

The fantasy draft itself is snake style, but that's just the initial draft to pick players from the league pool.

As is true in real life but having multiple first day picks is still highly beneficial.

It's much easier to find an OVR 80-82 with superstar development in the top 5 picks than anywhere else.

Drafting in Madden is too easy. There's certain things to look for and you can draft an entire team of 75+ rookies. I liked the old days where they allowed you to play a Senior Bowl basically and use the prospects in a game before you drafted them.
