We can now understand why Chip Kelly let Maclin get away. While Maclin is a very nice receiver, paying him more than guys like Randall Cobb, Jordy Nelson and Antonio Brown is a monstrous stretch. It's also a stretch to think Alex Smith could support a wide receiver enough for him to be worth $11 million annually. The Eagles were reportedly offering Maclin $9 million per year.

Denvers supposed to get a 4th for losing beadles, and they signed talib for more. i know revis was released so that may be a different situation, but i dont believe talib was released. denvers also supposed to get picks for moreno, phillips, and ayers. and we all know how much money they spent. ward, ware.

every single guy i just mentioned was from the 2014 FA class, and the projected picks i'm referring to are for this year. i know that hudson and maclin would count towards 2016 comp picks. but i just gave examples of 2 teams last year who lost FA's, signed even more expensive FAs, and are expected to receive several comp picks this year. i'm failing to see how signing maclin will affect hudsons comp pick if talib didnt affect denver getting a comp pick this year for losing beadles.

When you have to guarantee 20 million dollars to get a ****ing CENTER to come play for your organization, then there's no question that your organization is not seen as a destination by NFL players.
