I saw Brady use that play against the blitz maybe 2 times and it really worked out - do we just not have the staff to block 'downfield' - was Fasano out on Sun? I think Alex is not decisive enough, quick enough.
Brady is deliberate and it doesn't even matter - because when it happens it's like poof you're toasted. That's my beef with Alex I think. Even more so than the lack of deep passing. |
& honestly I'd like to see Smith succeed - I really really like his personality - he's a nice/genuine level-headed guy. If it doesn't work out for him in the NFL I still think he's a hell of a good guy and pretty darned talented. I really do hope for the best for Alex.
