Yeah and strangely enough, plays like Johnny Manziel managing to free himself from a bama defender and heaving it to Mike Evans happened to be chosen over making a smart read to a receiver and moving the chains.

OldSchool 05-08-2014 10:58 PM

My day 1 winner? Rams. Think about this, they just added the most disruptive interior pass rusher to a DL that features:

Robert Quinn - Arguably the fastest and most disruptive outside pass rusher in the league in 2013.

Chris Long - A good all-around DE who is good at pass rushing and stopping the run.

Michael Brockers - A young DT who showed an improvement in his ability to wreck havoc in the middle of opposing OLs and became one of the better young DTs in the league last year.

And now you just added Aaron Donald to the unit that was top 3 in sacks and pressures.

Oh yeah, and they drafted the next Orlando Pace in Greg Robinson.

The Franchise 05-08-2014 11:03 PM

'Hamas' Jenkins 05-08-2014 11:20 PM

The Rams are winning nothing with Sam Bradford, they already had more than enough help on the DL (they lead the NFL in sacks over the last 3-4 years) and OL and their solution was to pass on a replacement for their shit QB twice and ignore gaping holes in their secondary.

Grappalo.

I still cant believe that the Browns drafted Manziel. Seriously. Im so sick to my stomach.

of course, everyone wants to go, OH LOOK HOW GREAT the browns did.

No, they passed on a chance to take Sammy Watkins, or Khalil Mack.

They threw away a 5th rounder for no reason what so ever to trade up one spot to take Justin Gilbert.

Then you trade up to draft Johnny Manziel.

Brady Quinn, drafted at 22.
Brandon Weeden, drafted at 22
Johnny Manziel, drafted at 22.

Sighs.

I liked Watkins a lot, but you'd have to be reeruned to not make that trade IMO.

You're acting like the Browns just drafted Bortles #3 overall. Manziel is gonna have a better career.

They're still flush with picks, they now have a pretty ****ing good secondary and they now have at worst an extra mid first rounder in 2015.

Well I'm a Bridgewater guy. Manziel is going to get destroyed.

BryanBusby 05-09-2014 02:58 AM

Kyle Shanahan is gonna have a better plan for Manziel than he would of had for Bridgewater.

He's the best QB at throwing on the run and is going to kill it with bootlegs.

Honestly what's the point in even playing this season? This team is gona suck. Fisher will get Smith hurt. We have one good WR and that's it. The secondary gets abused when they face a good QB. We're third best in this division.

NFLN was pretty much the same way. After the Browns picked Manziel it was like the Chiefs being on the clock didn't exist. They didn't shutup about Manziel until Goodell was half way to the podium with the pick. But at least ESPN talked about Ford more than Bucannon!

Welp, you did go from the laughing stock in the NFL to a playoff team in a year with him at the helm... It stings to not have the pick but you couldn't have had a year like that without Smiff and if you had a better QB than Smiff, it would have cost you a helluva lot more than the 2nd

If Reid didn't draft Bridgewater, it's because he saw something many didn't. With regards to QB play, I trust Reid's judgement. That man is the ultimate QB whisperer... he knows what he's doing.
