I bet if you approached the hotel, and made them aware of your intentions, they would make arrangements to provide you with celebratory champagne after the question is popped.

None taken. I welcome any and all suggestions - as I've never done this before, nor plan on doing it again.

I'm a simple guy I guess. I like the idea of Vegas in the background and proposing to her then. I also really don't want to shell out a bunch of money. My original plan was to take her out to eat at that nice restaurant located in the stratosphere - the name escapes me.

here's what you do. there's a balcony above Prime at the Bellagio. You can ask Bellagio to play a song that goes with the fountains. Pick Andrea Bocelli - Por ti volare and go out to that balcony and when they cue the music for the fountain pop the question. The balcony is usually roped off from public so its you and your girl. I sit out there when I eat at Prime and its the best view of the fountains and I see people cry all the time out there. It gets you in a way. Here's a view of from the restaurant and the balcony I'm talking about is literally above this dining area.

<iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/1-eqWRSNzTg" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

a better view of the balcony in this vid. it shows it right in the beginning.

I know you guys go out there to try to impress your chicks but you can get rooms for $36 a night on the weekends at the LVH... like 10 min walk to the wynn just off the strip http://www.playerrooms.com/

Ill be in Vegas May 30 to June 10...first 3 days staying in a Bella Suite at the Venetian...then rest of the time staying at the quad(old imperial palace) for $13 a night. High roller to bed bugs

If they still do it, at the LVH (old Hilton), in their show room. They have tons of room and a bunch of TVs.

Hell yes, ride the coaster at night in the first car.

I had found a coupon for it online before I went.
*edit* here you go
http://www.couponsforfun.com/coupons...rk_coupon.html

The fresh pretzel stand toward the MGM entrance smells so ****ing good it should be illegal.

Walk over to Excalibur and hit the free tram down to Mandalay bay. Walk through the shops on the way back toward the Luxor.

Hussongs was dope. I even saw Pete rose there signing autographs at a sports store

New York New York was cool, I stayed at MGM so I don't know about the rooms though. Enjoy!

TribalElder 06-15-2013 04:10 PM

Also if you can go see KA at the MGM grand

Coolest live show I have ever seen

This trip is going to be sweet.

One month and five days!

My girlfriend found a coupon on Groupon where we get an all-you can eat lunch buffet @ Flavors in Harrah's for $31.98, it also includes all you can drink beer and wine. Friday might be a pretty miserable day.

4 couples including Mr. and Mrs. Plow -- glad they're joining us.

Does anyone recommend any budget friendly shows?

Eat breakfast at the Peppermill. It's north of the Wynn and south of the Riv. It's awesome. Also a nice place to catch a late night cocktail next to the fireplace.

And it's confirmed. We will be there Sept. 12-15. We have a late flight out Sunday so that we can watch the Chiefs beat the Cowboys ass.

Sounds like a Chiefs watch party is in order. Carlota, are you doing games at the LVH anymore?

We will be staying at Harrah's, obv.

But, a big group to watch the Chiefs game would be pretty bad ass.

Waiting for confirmation, but it looks like Carlota's radio station, KOMP-FM is still hosting the football watch party at the showroom at the LVH on Sundays. It's a great place to watch all the games.

I say we all meet up for the KC/Dallas home opener and watch the game there. What say you?

Mr. Flopnuts 08-21-2013 10:49 PM

No promises, but I may make a spur of the moment and the Flops may show up for this trip. I scheduled the 11th through 17th off of work next month just to catch my breath before the money season starts in my business, and I'm trying to figure out what I want to do with the time. We're considering Vegas. If we can get out there reasonably enough price wise, I may pull the trigger and make the trip. I've got access to a 3BR timeshare out there I can use.

Southwest also lets you check a bag for free, though. Allegiant is good if you're not checking bags. I heard they even started charging for carry-ons, but I haven't checked it out. Also, if you choose which seat you want, there's a charge for that, too. Good thing about flying solo, is that I don't care where I sit. :)

Ceej 08-22-2013 01:52 PM

Someone needs to do some recon and see if LVH has any drink specials that Sunday. :)

Carlota69 08-22-2013 02:00 PM

I've never been the host of The Hilton Sunday parties, but, Ive been to plenty of them ;-) The station has always been the host of them tho. Good times. Our Super Bowl party last year was killer.

That is without question the place to go on Sundays in Vegas. The Hilton throws a serious party, and the drink and food specials are awesome.

I may be able to make it for the Cowboys game ( I was suppose to come to KC for that game, but I have a wedding to go to the next weekend), and if Im not working, I'll come to the party at the Hilton and meet up with the CP folks in town.

On the other hand, I host a smokin' MNF party at Sams Town in the ballroom. Its going to be a blast!!!!

You may not have been the "official" host, but in my mind you were. ;)

I was looking around on LVH's web site and didn't see anything about Football Central in the showroom. They have something called the Fan Cave, right near the sports book. It's a smaller room, looks like it could be the old poker room.

Do you know anything about this?

Ceej 08-22-2013 03:07 PM

That is without question the place to go on Sundays in Vegas. The Hilton throws a serious party, and the drink and food specials are awesome.

I may be able to make it for the Cowboys game ( I was suppose to come to KC for that game, but I have a wedding to go to the next weekend), and if Im not working, I'll come to the party at the Hilton and meet up with the CP folks in town.

On the other hand, I host a smokin' MNF party at Sams Town in the ballroom. Its going to be a blast!!!!

As soon as I am finished with work on Monday, we will be at Sam's. :toast:

Sounds like you all may need to change the thread title to "Chiefs Watch Party in LVH Showroom on 9/15". It's kind of cool that so many of you will be able to meet up.

Wish I could bring the Command Center and do some tailgating before the game. That would be epic!!

Just go!! I just confirmed reservations for a convention the week after for work, so we are coming in on Saturday. Can't wait! Oh, this is Monty BTW.....

Oh, this is going to be bad ass! I think I will start a new thread.

So here's who all will be there:

Dartgod and wife
Cjizzles and wife
Mr. Plow and wife
Carlota (if she doesn't have to work)
ArrowheadHawk
Monty

And if we can talk him into it, Mr. Flopnuts.

BTW, I'm getting in early Thursday morning, Sept. 12 and my wife doesn't get there until early evening. I'll have a rental car so if anyone wants to hook up for lunch/drinks or whatever, let me know.

Add my wife too. She will be excited that other wives are there too. :)

This is an excellent development! Thanks for the inclusion and I make the first suggestion that we start on the bloody mary consumption at 6am. I say this because that's 8am in KC and that's when we usually start anyway. LMAO

Our whole group minus the Plows will be arriving late evening on Thursday.

Plow can't handle it so he, his wife and his vagina are flying in Friday afternoon.
