They already finished filming Luke Cage s2 and yeah Finn Jones is in it.

I think they still might do the Jess/Luke romance, just setting it up as a long game. Hopefully s3 of JJ won't take two and a half years.

BigRedChief 03-19-2018 09:14 PM

This season was way worse than the first season. Uneven, lost focus on Jessica. Trisha was annoying. Pacing was terrible. The Mom angle was just drama. Lost potential.

If the focus isn’t on Jessica in season 3, no thanks.

Do you need to see Iron Fist, Defenders, or The Punisher to see S2 of Jessica Jones?

Buehler445 09-10-2018 04:27 PM

Probably not. But watch Punisher anyway.

I think it was the worst of the Marvel Netflix shows so far.

I'm 3/4ths through Cage and it's nowhere near as good as season 1 either...

I guess you haven’t seen Iron Fist then?

Finished season 2. Depressing season that wasn't close to the first season. It was ok though and I like the character. No real villain like David Tenant was. Hopefully s3 is good with slot of questions.

This.

Plus I thought season 2 was a big fall off in quality from season 1.

That's how I felt about DD but that season finished up nicely. I think JJ is trying to finish in a similar fashion knowing theyd be axed.

Buehler445 06-17-2019 10:44 PM

Season 3 is out FWIW.

I'm on episode 4 ...

They're doing a good job so far, IMHO. This series has/had so much potential, I hate to see it go. There's room for tons of unexplored development.

Maybe the new Disney service will pick it up?

I was looking forward to a Luke Cage/Jessica Jones team-up show but not in the cards obviously.

I'm having a hard time getting myself interested in watching it at all. I really didn't like the focus on Trish in season 2 and this looks like even more of that.

Rewatching Luther in order to catch the new episodes on BBCA, and recently started watching Outlander (the books are okay, and Ronald D. Moore is great, so I figured why not...).

Personally, I like the neo-noir approach and tone ... of course, I still like a good western, so there's that ...

The moral ambiguity combined with the self-narration by the protagonist is a great way to present a super-hero living in a corrupt world, IMO. When you think about it, that character design is one of the things that sets Marvel apart.

It's not just "Boom! Bash! Crunch!" ... it's "Why do I boom, bash & crunch?"

Plus, I think Ritter does a damn good job in the role.

Made it through the third episode of season 3 and gave up. Watching a show shouldn't feel like a chore.

listopencil 06-24-2019 08:32 AM

This season reminds me a lot of Dexter because of the serial killer. If he had more of a method to his madness, I think the plot line would have been stronger. The scene...

Spoiler!

I like Krysten Ritter and I like the character. So I'll finish the show.
