As for just breaking down ( analyzing formations both offensive/defensive, D&D, situations in the ball game through 3 games, USC, Louisville, and Mizzou (I've watched more but haven't broken them down. Have time tomorrow so I'll probably do it then) I've been remarkably impressed.

Things I like having not broken down a lot of games:
Very quick, snappy release. Might be the best in the draft.
Solid arm strength
Great movement within the pocket whilst keeping his eyes downfield

Things I don't like:
Happy feet, it seems to me like he's trying to overemulate Manning too much. It negates his accuracy on deeper routes.
Lack of touch consistently. You'll see it but it isn't at the regularity especially on deep throws ala Geno/Wilson. There are some that are solid but I'd regard him as inconsistent in that area.


I'll be able to provide a better breakdown hopefully by tomorrow. I really love Nassib's ability to move/reset/shrug rushers within the pocket. I also like that he consistently looks downfield.

Just finished watching the Rutgers tape.

Prelimary thoughts: Struggled with pressure from DBs (could also be a protection issue, there is one instance where a LG completely missed on a twist whilst the LT and RB picked up the blitz) but overall, wasn't bad. Missed a few throws but was mainly consistent and led them on a nice drive that could have potentially tied it up only to be plagued by drops (in coverage; NFL Wrs probably make the catch but IIRC Lemon was jacked on one of them).

I didn't completely throw it out. Again, I compared Geno's 2012 tape to Wilson's 2011 tape. I compared the best of both of them. I'm not discounting anything.

My problem with nassib is for him to be successful and them to win games this year, they had to pull the reins on him and make him a game manager. I like his upside, but he would take a good amount of polishing before he was even close.

Screw Nassib when we can have take a better QB with our first pick. No need to dance around it.

I'd rather have Dysert than Nassib personally if we are going 2nd round with no Geno/Wilson.

I see the elongated footwork, and when he gets that fixed, his passes wil leave a trail, much like a comet.

His arm strength is very good, even with the elongated step, or the throws off the back foot.

I don't, however see the longated delivery.

He has as quick a release as any.

The hot thing in the NFL is a QB that's mobile and ACCURATE. Russell Wilson can thread a needle, so can RG3.

Tajh Boyd is about as accurate as Mike Vick, and that's not a good thing.

With what Cam,RGIII, Luck and Wilson have accomplished in just a short amount of time I don't see how Geno falls to the 2nd with many starved QB teams like us, especially when you look at his stats with a crappy D always playing from behind which should have shown a much higher INT total but didn't which is absolutely amazing.

You bet. He's a very bright kid who is very talented. He's the 2nd best CB in the draft IMO. I think he's better than Devin McCourty.
