If he intends to play beyond 2017, then the solution is simpler. Turn his $8.5M deal into a 2-3 year contract. That is a fair market value for a depth rusher and it takes a big chunk off our cap.

As a long time fan I appreciate what he has done for our franchise, but he's done. Not sure what we do bout this situation but I'm not sure I want him back.

prolly means the old guy window stays open for another season with Alex at the helm and all the vets trying one more time to repeat this scheme.

2018 is prob the year they blow it up and start anew, which I am excited for

He was a pretty good backup player this year and I would love to have them back next year but he needs to take a pay cut in order for that to work out
