I actually think Gaga is a good choice. She's got a great voice and has some really good songs, and she's going to be entertaining in some sort of bizarre way.

Gaga is one of the most talented musicians on this planet, regardless if you like her music or not. I am okay with this move, as I believe we will see her true talent (national anthem), and not her outrageous outfits and weird songs she likes to produce from time to time.

she's really toned down the craziness since she hit it big, readily admitting it was purely to get exposure.

I'm not going to run out and buy her music, but she's got a good set of pipes and talent, and I don't change the station if she comes on

Halftime is for draining the main vein, smoking a bowl and getting another beer. Haven't paid attention to the "show" in years

She appeals to multiple demographics why wouldn't she be asked to perform? I can't believe people get upset about who plays the halftime shows. If you're at a good super bowl party it's a good opportunity to go out back and smoke weed.

Not that I don't like your picks, but the Black Keys are the only band mentioned that could sniff seeing a SB halftime stage, and they did a similar appearance not too long ago.
