That was just the first two years. The Broncos wouldn't even bother offering him a contract unless it contained more guaranteed money than Houston got.

Denver has just as many questions as anyone. Von, Marshall and Sanders will take up most of their $65 million next year and Roby is going to demand top dollar even though he hasn't proven to be a #1 CB.

Ware is pretty much done and Ward will want to be paid big money.

Denver's defense will continue to lose big pieces and be forced to replace. Jackson and Trevathan are gone, Ware will probably be gone after this year, Talib after that.

Not likely they get players at Ware and Talib's level, no less Jackson in 2015.

I read it as all the guaranteed money "full guarantee" is paid in the first 2 years

I was gonna say, that tends to happen when you have a historic defensive run to a superbowl. It happens

Chiefs are there too. DJ, Tamba, we just lost Sean Smith. We're relying on Ford, Gaines, March/Wilson and 2016 draft picks like Denver is relying on Ray, Nelson and 2016 draft picks.

Seattle and NE are the only recent teams to do it long term in recent years. Draft is so important.

We a bit farther along in the transition than the Donks IMO. Losing Smith, and having Peters for a bit at his rookie deal, we are in the start of making the transition from last year's lockdown corners to hopefully new ones in the next year or two. Donks will have to do the same once Talib, Roby, and Harris deals come due. They are a bit deeper than us at edge rushers as far as transitioning from Ware than we are from Hali IMO. Hopefully Ford makes me eat my words.

You are totally wrong here.

They basically offered him a two year 38.5 million dollar fully guaranteed deal.

Suh got around 60, Oliver 52.5 Houston right around there.

Miller 38.5 total guaranteed and 1.3 more iirc for work outs.

Where's the "oh shit" factor? I see 'could' mentioned there, which is what has been stated in other articles... did I miss a quote from Miller? Reads like the same things we've read the last 48 hours.

Sassy Squatch 06-09-2016 03:41 PM

Being forced to use the non exclusive tag if he sits out the year is my guess. 2 1st round picks is nothing to a perennial contender compared to Von Miller.

O.city 06-09-2016 03:45 PM

There's no chance he sits out. Zero. Deal will get done July 15
