When I was driving from Omaha to San Fran, I saw some of the most moronic, self centered, oblivious and rude drivers in the last two hours of the drive going up I-5 from LA.

I also found the paranoia hilarious when there was roughly 10 news trucks at the grapevine filming snow flurries. They actually threatened to close the highway when the flurries started sticking to the grass alongside the shoulders of the highway.
****ing hysterical. People were panicked and driving 20 mph. I actually lead a convoy of idiots when they saw my NE license plate on the SUV I was driving. LMAO

Did they have Johnson county tags?

I drive about 42-46,000 miles a year locally due to my job. I have driven many miles a year in my life, the most about 62,000 in one year. I've seen tons of crazy things over the last 35 years but I've noticed something astounding during the last 10 years to the point now that it's ridiculous.

The percentage of drivers who use their blinkers to signal a turn, while changing lanes, or exiting a highway is less than 20% and could be under 10-15%. I see drivers come across three lanes of highway traffic and no turn signal, I see someone pull off a highway cutting in front of me at 60-70 MPH and once again no turn signal, I see people at a stop sign in a shopping center and I expect them to go straight but they cut in front of me with no turn signal, I proceed when a light turns green only to have a driver suddenly cut in front of me in the opposite direction making a turn again with no turn signal.

WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO THE TURN SIGNAL IN EVERYONE'S VEHICLE! :cuss:

I don't use them if there's no one else around that's going to see them or that it's going to matter to, and sometimes I'll make a sudden lane jump on the freeway and not bother to use them because by the time other drivers see them and comprehend them I will have already made my move. And there are other times when I wonder what's the point in trying to use them when so many other drivers are either oblivious to the light blinking on the corner of your car or flat out don't give a **** about it.

SAUTO 02-28-2016 12:55 PM

My truck will let you know if you changed lanes without signaling, out will also flash the signals three times if you just tap the lever. That saves you from driving miles with your signal on if you've got the radio blasting.

Can't be an asian driver in an audi. They only drive asian cars at least around here. I have only seen this not to be true once about every 3rd year.

I try to avoid I-5 and I just about never go South of Sacramento. Crazy ass people down there.

Probably low on blinker fluid.

There is also a problem when people put on their turn signal and immediately pull in front of someone thinking they have the right of way. A turn signal is there to show people you want to move over and not that everyone clear the hell out because I'm so damn important.

People have no idea what YIELD means.

They think it means hurry and get there first.

Well sometime it does mean that, like when you need to merge onto the freeway and your merge lane is about to end.

There are those of us who hate driving.
I can't handle having to tolerate 200 strangers around me at high speeds. I can't drive 80 mph like it's no big deal. I stay distant from other cars. I'm the guy considered the one who is a bad driver and piss people off because I'm the one not driving like a race car driver. I can't shut my mind off like everyone else and drive like a robot who doesn't care and assumes everyone else sees me.
