Is there something that says one of the teams has to switch conferences? The Clippers and Lakers both play in the same building, and same division. I don't see why the Chargers and Raiders can't do it too.

Different beast the NBA is a geographically based league for one. Second, and the big reason, television would be a nightmare. Really need teams for both networks especially in a market like Los Angeles.

Dumbest idea ever

Well this sure shakes things up, doesn't it?

The thing I don't get with either the Chargers or Raiders is what the hell is wrong with the deal that Anschutz gave them? Farmers Field location seems to be a winner, expect the teams must want their own parking lots is the only thing I can think of.

Chargers and the Seahawks would likely swap divisions in that case, and the NFCW would again return to the division nobody cares about.

He initially wanted to purchase either team, then lowered his demands to 51%.

Goodell ruled out a return to LA for the Raiders as long as Mark Davis is part of the ownership. The Spanos family doesn't want to sell any percentage of the team, as it represents 92% of their net worth.

IIRC, the Bucs played the AFC west teams 1 time that year and the rest was other AFC teams.

Dean's not willing to give AEG part-ownership of the team.
