Manuel was a 7th round talent with a 1st round frame

They needed an offense guru, not a 2nd defense guru who will want to run a different scheme.

That's what I was asking before. They run a 4-3 right? If Rex switches he really will be a dumbtard.

The fact he has Trestman wanting to join forces with him makes him all the more appealing I'd think.

A team that's basically a QB away from the playoffs hires a coach who just failed twice at getting/developing his last team one. Noice.

Get an offensive genius, and tell Rex to stay the **** away.

Yep.

You know he is going to fist**** the Jets every time, though.

All he needs is a QB. I hope he gets Tresman as his OC

Rumors are 49ers OC heading with Rex.

The Bills are one year removed from Mike Pettine, who is a Ryan disciple. Defensively, it's an excellent hire. Ryan can quickly make this defense his, and his scheme, by the way, is a 3-4 and 4-3 hybrid. Actually, in the past few years, he's been trying to make the Jets scheme more 4-3 than 3-4.

The problem with Ryan is he's an overrated motivator and he's a QB destroyer. He needed to go to a front office with half a brain that is going to overrule him when he's wrong. Buffalo has the same history of incompetence that we do.

Current NFL is meaningless without a QB that the refs will slant the rules toward. As good of defenses as KC and Buffalo had it meant nothing. The Chuck it deep and pray for a flag era.

I want to like Manuel, but he was benched, not hurt.

Evidently, he's easier to read than Highlights. Heard all DBs know what he's doing before he does.

Also, GM is strongly behind him and word is that was souring a lot of offensive minded HCs in the interview process.

No first round pick, no qb. Its like he left the jets, BUT DIDNT.

He should of went to Atlanta.

Rex is a dumbass. Another place with severe QB issues.

But he has an excellent record of bringing them along.

He couldn't go to Atlanta. He didn't coach for Belichick or Parcells.

Seattle beat statistically the greatest offense of all time last year in the Super Bowl, and are probably favorites to do it again this year because of their defense. Russell Wilson is a great QB but I wouldn't say he succeeds because of officiating help the same way someone like Manning often seems to. Defense isn't dead, it's still necessary. The team that wins it all will most likely be playing very good defense.

Blank is an idiot and I will laugh my ass off if the Falcons hire McDaniels.
